What is your TF budget

Recommended Posts

I budget $50 to spend every week, total.  That includes comics, movies, toys, paint, chocolate covered raisens, everything.  How much of that goes toward TFs everyweek fluctuates.

I have 2 TF budgets, one for me and one for the kids.

Pretty much anytime we hit Wal-mart, the kids can get a small toy, $10 or less.  If there are new TFs, the older one usually picks one up.  The younger one does that every once in a while, but overall, I'd say every other week we have a new TF enter the house.

For myself, I generally only get TFs when they are ones I REALLY want and only once a month or so.  For example, in April, Wing Saber, and just last weekend, Soundwave.  Now, at tax return time, and when I get summer school money, I splurge a little, and buy some more expensive TFs, like THS-02 this past Feb, and looking forward to a reissue  Laser Optimus or maybe a Powermaster OP this summer school check. :)

i probably spend about $200 a month mostly on g1 but some on cybertron and alts....

less than 2 bucks a month, if you average it all out. I rarely gets tfs.

I usually just buy whatever I feel like it, when I see it in stores or online.

I don't usually "budget" for TFs, because I still live at home (so no major bills to pay), I work a full time job at a software company (I studied in Engineering), and my girlfriend makes more money than I do (she's an accountant).

I've only gotten back into buying TFs since late October 2005, so in the past 7 months, I've spend roughly $3500US on TFs.  That averages out to about $500US a month on this.

i dont have a budget.... i work for free....but when i do make money most goes on toys or video games.... i get the ones i want when i can or hustle my way into the purtiness of my toy collection....i seem to get lucky and find some good ol labor work when i find a toy i need....or i borrow money from someone and pay them back ASAP.... i can make 60 bucks a day working so i work as i need the money..... the rest of the time i volunteer

currently no budget I just started though plan to buy all TRU reisssues, and book case style issues already spent over 2k plus on transformers dont plan to stop either.....until im satisified with my collection....

Do not really have a bugdet. Perhaps I should.  :tftongue

Anywhoo, I spend a lot of money on Transformers (not to mention various other hobbies). Currently I am bidding on a lot of eBay items from a single seller.

I already got several good deals. A few mini-bots for $6 and G1 Scourse (missing his gun and head weapon) for $8.00. And a Micromaster (Overload) along some G2 stuff. And even a European release (one of the Breast Force members without any of the "good" parts). But he was just $4.00.

The seller also had Rewind and Overkill listed and those were a bit more expensive. However, I like Rewind as he is an archivist (which is also my job) and Overkill looks just plain cool. (I liked him ever since reading his bio in a comic as a kid.  :tftongue )

Then last night, the seller listed reissue Blaster. I had originally planned to get him along with Primus. Pre-ordered both from Archonia but they did not get enough stock in so I cancelled my whole order.

So I figured I should get him as that was my plan all along. (Not to mention that he goes well with Rewind.) He is afterall, a key G1 character and does have a really cool alt mode.

I also purchased reissue Perceptor recently for similar reasons. Blaster is a tad expensive but livinin in The Netherlands I generally pay more for Transformers anyways so it is a sacrifice I make. Perceptor actually costs less than $50.00.

Basically I buy any new mold, the repaints I like and cool/cheap stuff I see on eBay.  :tftongue

I will wait for a good deal though. Blaster is just a tad more expensive but Typticon is currently on the Dutch eBay site as well going for $150 (or close to that anyways). He is imcomplete, the light on Brunt does not work and he is missing labels. So he is a bit too pricey for me.

He is definetely on my wish-list and I want to own him one day. However, he is just a bit too expensive right now.

I find some stuff I want, spend like a knuckle head.  Bill comes after all the little $20 bills total up and somehow it turns out to be a pay check, and then paypal takes the funds out of my checking account, so I go under the $100 minimum ballance needed and get hit with fees...then I can't pay my stupid car off...and THEN my lady friend factors in a mini vacation and I blow $100 bucks down the Casino...then its a national holiday and 1/2 my stuff is stuck in the postal system.

Budget? I have no fricken money.  I want a HOUSE.  More importantly, a place to put the stuff I have.

Well, I almost blew over a grand on six little heads this weekend. To bad I lost, eh?
