What is your TF budget

Recommended Posts

I usually hope I have a few bucks to get something if I find it, as far as a budget for TF's goes, it's pretty close to $0.

Put it this way-

I keep at least $50 that I can drop on a toy, usually at any given time, in case I come across some vintage G1 figure that I can't pass up. I scored a C9 Snarl, complete with an unused sticker sheet, instruction booklet and tech for $25 in the winter of 2004 by doing that. I also picked up a complete C8 G1 Megatron for $40 and a C9 G1 complete metal variant Razorclaw for $35 last spring.

It pays to have a little cash when going to the thrift store and Mom+Pop collectable stores. Even if I have it, I'll flip any double that I have and get something else that I don't.

I don't think I've bought a Transformers toy in over a year. At least a year. I can't justify dollars spent on the new stuff unless I have every G1 that I want... and when I have all of the figures, I'll start dropping money on boxes, cards, party favors and everything else G1 TF related.

Wait... Edit: I went to an estate sale last summer and picked up a c10 Runamuck on a perfect card (MOSC) for $1. That was a fluke, though. Totally unplanned. I haven't gone out and intentionally spent money on any Transformers in over a year.  :tflaugh

I usually pick up miscilanious TF stuff, like the Kool-Aid mail in cups, cards, shoes, stickers or whatever all the time.

I do spend a freakish amount of money on skateboards though... I think within the past 6 months, I've dropped nearly $4G on skateboards...  :tfpuke  but from that $4G, I have about $10,000+ worth of them.

Aaaaah! I don't want to think about it! Now look what you've done! I vomitted on my new old stock old school Nike hi-tops!  :tfmad   :tflaugh

Very little is spent on a monthly basis.  A few weeks back I picked up 3 Alts off of layaway.  I just placed a few more TFs on layaway last night.  Cyb Soundwave was in that group.........I try to spend as little as possible.  Other things take priority right now.

I'd like to average about $40 ($20 every paycheck) a month or so on TFs.  On the grand scheme of life, $40 is less than my cell phone bill every month.

If I don't see anything I like for that month, then it will naturally carry over.  Some toys do take priority over another, like Alts.  Those I will buy immediately regardless due to the sheer demand for them here.

My wife and I budget $70 a month each for "fun". Birthdays and special occasions are exceptions. When we get out of debt (everything but the house) the fun budget will go up considerably :thumb

Thats a nice system...I just get a few every wwek when I go 2 Walmart(or Wallycron as you guys call it)

On the average I spend about $40 per month...sometimes I may spend between $100 - $150 when a bunch of stuff comes out, but then I may buy nothing for another three or four months.

i buy until my wife says its time to pay the bill for the month

one MILLION dollars!!!  mwahahaha.

well, not really, but tf's i budget out in advance since i know they are coming.

i have stopped buying the regular releases (energon, cybertron, ect.) and i'm sticking to just alts and crazy stuff, i have way too many tf's i don't really care about right now.

ive gone  from extreem to X-treem

one month i spent just £10 then this month ive spent £400 but on averige i must spend £40
