In the news and rumors thread, theres a link to an interview with Michael Bay, where it shows Bumblebee, in his "70's looking car" form, just wondering what you guys think it'll be.

My guess is nothing too big, and nothing too 'muscle car', like a Camaro, 442, GTO, etc.  Im guessing nothing too crappy like a pinto or pacer, etc.

Im thinking along the lines of a Nova, Dart, Vega, Duster, or Hornet type car. Not exactly badass muscle car, but with enough of that flavor to appeal to a teen.

Or on one hand, he could be an import such as a 240Z, Datsun 510, or Karmann Ghia. Probably not a VW bug, since the writer would've recognized that.

What do you guys think?

I dont even wanna think about him not being a beetle

i have no clue what he will be,  what kind of car did they turn him in to in that devils due comic where they all went time traveling.  wasnt it a grimlin or something sad like that???  I could see them useing that as an alt mode

so far as the karmangia. i searsously doubt they would use that. sence it was made by VW and didnt they already pretty much say there isnt a chance in hell of us getting BB and a bug so why would volkswagen let them use another vw design

I hope he's not a Beetle...but has a similar transformation.

what makes you think it's even Bumblebee?  A character has not yet been named for it.  Now, if we were to go by the original animatic we were shown, it was a yellow 80's camaro, which lends credence to the Hot Shot possibility as well.  Now, on the other hand, if it is Bumblebee, the VW Beetle had the same body style from it's inception until it's demise a few years ago when they stopped production in Mexico, around 40 some years of the same.  It'd hardly be a stretch for it to be a bug named Bumblebee...

As far as I can tell from the comments of those who have been in the know in the past, it's still set to be a Camaro.

A Vega was as crappy as a Pinto, or a Pacer, Gremlen or even a Chevette. :wtf

Hell it was an economy car, but you could put a V8 in it. If I recall my dad had two and he thought they wern't THAT bad, but they rusted very fast.

PACERS ROOL j00

it's deffinatly not a beetle, they couldn't get the liscensing from vw..... vw said they didn't wanna be associated with "war machines".  they could just as easily fit bumblebee into a number of older eco cars tho.  i kinda want it to be a chevette, my brother had one and those things are just neat as hell.

I recall this as well.

If it is a Camaro, my bet is that all of the Autobots will be GM products.
