My first assembly error

Recommended Posts

I don't know if this has been posted anywhere or if it's even a major issue but the Rhinox I just picked up at Wallycron has his arms attached backwards. Has this happened to anyone else or is mine simply an anomally?

Anyway.

Out of the package and transformed. Somethings obviously wrong here.

:wtf

Easy fix though. Remove the screws in both shoulders remove both halves and swap em.

Not too difficult, but since the rear of the shoulder half has to slide under a layer of plastic behind it you attach it upsidedown facing forward and turn it so it's facing backwards. Easy. Slap on the front halve and replace the screws. Done. Well almost, the forearms are now on backwards. No problem, pop em out of the ball joints and swap em.

Much better. Though he still looks mighty pissed off I'm sure he's a little happier now knowing his arms are now on correctly. I am. :thumb

Oh and Transmutates leg definitely is not meant to move. :tflaugh

Yeah, this problem is pretty much with all of them.

I already fixed mine, but I'm sure others will appreciate the pictures of the fix.

Does anyone here NOT care about collecting Transmutate?

Cos I do, but I don't care about getting the reissues, as I already have all the original BW TFs...

I hope when I buy Rhinox mine he doesn't have that problem. :tftongue

Probably will, From what I understand it's universal.

As stated above it's an easy fix requiring no more than a Philips. :thumb

Yeah, I have yet to see one person actually say theirs was not assembled wrong. Also, I like the reissues, because they tend to look better than the original paint schemes.

I had a good long look at my original rhinox, apart from the assembly error and a 'mild' re-colour the onlt noticable difference is a little more metalic paint on the face :(

You'd think they'd spend a little on making the line more "show accurate"

oh well it looks like I'll only bother with the 'pre earth megs and primal  ;)

^they are NOT pre-earth and i seriously don't get why people are saying that. even if you throught out the fact that techno-organic gorillas never existed in the TF universe before Beast Machines, the first episode of BW shows them looking nothing like these new molds.

I fixed the error in my BWX Rhinox after I found out about the issue (which was about three days after I got him), but now his right arm is incredibly loose.  I have to use his rhino hide to hold it up for him to hold his Chain Gun of Doom :tdown Any suggestions on that would be appreciated.

He's the only reason I want some of these guys. I could go with out Rattrap, Cheetor and all the other bots I own. Tarantulas is the main guy I want.
