its more than big enough for magnus to look good on. however, i prefer it to be to scale with the wstf's just because it makes ol' metro bigger!

it probably is in scale with the normal g1 figures as well though

well its in better scale with them than the original toy was! hteres gonna be various changes made from the original toy to make him make 'more sense' at this scale. for example his helipad will now be a soaceport (complete with autobot shuttle) and scampers housing will become a massive hanger. we just have to figure out a few little things before joining the pieces together, but then the detailing will begin!

Just one quick question:

Is he going to have wheels underneath him so he can transform into his rolling battlestation mode?

Technicaly speaking he was a triple changer of sorts. I suppose if he did have wheels he would be easier to roll from room to room. :D

we're considering replacing the wheels with tank treads. it seems to me that they would make more sense gived the supposed size of metroplex. what do you think? or should he just have wheels?

personally treads i think is abetter idea metro would never of got the turning circle of wheels due to size. i also like your other modifications such as space port great mod. draw up plans for construction id love to get a set. this would be sucha  cool mod for the fans

That's a good question. If you are going to go for an acurate G1 look and call it a "Masterpiece" Metroplex, then wheels would probably be the way to go.

However... if you are keeping it G1 flavored but giving it more surface details and modifying things a bit than yeah, tank treads would fit much better.

Mother of god...You could spend months coming up with surface details on that thing if you really wanted to. If I even attempted something that size it would be the scratchbuild that never ends. Repair bays, two way streets, L.E.D. Lighting...

The idea's are just endless.

Good luck man, you've got tounge's wagging over here just wainting to see that thing finished! :thumb

i'm not really sure how i could plan this as a mod. its a bloody big (and expensive) scratchbuild. you're right about the treads though...

if i did one thing different id make it out of box steel and plate just because i think it would keep better but as to what mp said above all the things you could do to this is just pure heaven. the main tower with windows, put little window holes with perspex behind and some l.e.d lights and turn it into a real city. i like the two way street idea aswell
