Since we are looking at straight repaints for the 3rd releases - i would say a straight repaint of Grimlock is a high possibilty.

I don't think we will see Soundwave as a stragiht repaint of anyone, at the least I would think he would have a new head. Chanes are he'll be the Ram remold.

Yeah but as straight repaints go - Grimlock and Wheeljack are pretty distinctive with their heads.... so so a new soundwave head on Grim wouldnt be much of a change.

 

Other than SW - or slicer (WTF? who was never a transformer anyway) we dont have many options.... ok well mabe "Downshift".

 

 

Or - here's to hoping they do a remold - unlikely but maybe

Who said Tailgate had to be white? Rollbar is orange, he was a greenish tan in G1.

My only request is that if Soundwave gets a new mold, he has to have enormous subs and an amazing sound system behind the tailgate.

 

That would pretty much require an SUV, or something boxy.

Soundwave needs to be a Hummer, even if it's an H2. He needs to be a big boxy brick of a bot. And his engine should change into Laserbeak. If they do that I'll buy two of them, just so that I can see him in vehicle mode and robot mode at the same time.

 

Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if either he or Shockwave (I refuse to call him by any variant name) is behind creating Rumble.

I mean if you look at Prime, Grimlock and Shockwave you have three huge characters, yet they all get regular Alt treatment.

Sure there was talk of larger Alts with a higher pricepoint but if they can't do that with Prime whose a practical guarantee for sale, then I can't see them doing it for anyone else.

 

Of course I can always hope he gets a cool Alt mode, think he'd suit a GMC type van personally, but realistically he'll probably be just another repaint.

You know, I was just thinking. That new Caddilac (sp?) mold that's coming out is actually big and boxy enough to be Soundwave  :eek

My feeling is that it will be Megatron.

Aren't they doing a remold/repaint of Skids into Blaster (or Broadblaster)?

 

Wouldn't remold/paint #3 of the Xb be Soundwave?

They gave Swerve (3rd Corvette) a new head, so I'm saying Grim with a new head.  :thumb
