Ok so right now we have Ravage, and Rumble both of whom were Soundwave`s little budies. So what do you think they`re planning to do for a Soundwave figure? I think it`d make sense for them to make him into a car carrier, or at least a Pick up with a multi car trailer. What do you guys think?

I think he'll be a car.

 

I mean if you look at Prime, Grimlock and Shockwave you have three huge characters, yet they all get regular Alt treatment.

Sure there was talk of larger Alts with a higher pricepoint but if they can't do that with Prime whose a practical guarantee for sale, then I can't see them doing it for anyone else.

 

Of course I can always hope he gets a cool Alt mode, think he'd suit a GMC type van personally, but realistically he'll probably be just another repaint.

I think they should have used the scion for soundwave, the mold works well and with some paint apps it could make a really nice character.  Especially with the flip open hood right there.  Blaster was a good attempt in the BTA line, but they should have gone with soundwave.

He's not out yet, but we've seen a mockup of him from Hasbro. He's a Hondo Civic with piledrivers.

It's too bad they're making a Rumble, and presumably Frenzy. I would have liked to see the Dodge Ram reused for Soundwave.  Rumble, Frenzy, and Laserbeak would have been storage boxes.  They could add those storage boxes onto the truck's bed, the ones tradesmen use for storing tools, parts, etc. One could be in the truck bed and the other to on the sides of the bed.

Not too bad of an idea, but personally, I lean much more toward Mustang Soundwave.

 

I don't remember who did it, but back before we knew about Wheeljack, someone did a digibash of Grimlock into Soundwave that was amazing (w/ the appropriate head). The coloring he did was awesome and the size and bulk of the car fits Soundwave pretty well in my opinion.

 

I would love to see HasTak go that route if they were going to do a 3rd Mustang or if they decided to make a Soundwave (not something I necessarily want to see, but if they had to do it, then that would be my preference).

Well, if they made optimus prime.
