what is the worst combiner IYO

Recommended Posts

the energon gesalts were alright. they had great potential which sadly hastak didnt take advantage of. but theyre alright for what they are. im not upset i bought them. my super link bruticus i actually really like. but worst id say g1 devastator. he was a brick. at least superion bruticus menasor ect could move a lil bit. even if it was just some arm movement and crab walk. devastator could move his arms. period. i still love it. and the character. but its still pretty bad.

Energon Gestults - THEY SUCK  :tfmad

The fact that SO MANY fans were MODIFYING the combined modes to make them LESS CRAPPY  :tfmad

The individual modes were great - combined, grate!  :tflaugh

When they were first announced I had visions of 5 unique well stylised bots and a cool posable gestult mode, instead we ended up with 3 good but buged bots and a combined mode that looked like an 80s GOBOT REJECT :tfpuke

Just too many corners cut! :tfmad

Me I'd rather take the gobot ((all the combined bot's parts were built in the bots, so no hands falling off all the dang time.))

And the puzzeler car set when combined had FULLY POSEABLE ARMS and DEFINED HAND FORMS :clap

Hmmmmm... that reminds me, Supirion maximus can only count up to 6 with his fingers!!!!! :tftongue

He can count up to 7, actually.

In G1.. Superion looked the dumbest. followed closely by Abominus.

BW .. I'd have to say Magnaboss is the better of the two. Tripledactus looks like a one man circus side show.

RiD, I'd have to say the build team by default. I don't got much to compare him with.. I just remember tearing my hair out trying to get the bastard assembled right... never touched it again.

I didn't buy into any of the others.. but if I had to pick one for the fugly award, I'd give it to Constructicon Maximus.

Energon Perceptor is not all that bad considering his size. I mean, he is really small so I can handle a less than perfect combined mode.

For me, the biggest dissapointments were the Energon combiners. Some of the team members were great. Treadshot/Windrazor for example is one of the best Energon basics ever (save for the lame Energon weapons). The other 2 (Skyshadow/Terradive) were ok and the only bad one in that set (vehicle mode wise) was Storm jet.

Aside from Slegde/Bonecrusher the Constructicons did not do much for me. The Combaticons on the other hand were great.

However, their combined modes were awful. One would think that with all the developments one could devise a better combined mode but sadly this was not realized.

G1 devastator-just don't like that of all the g1 combiners his is the combination with legs that don't move.  Other than that he looks good.

I bought the JRX giftset.  I didn't understand the transformation so I gave up.

i dont think its fair to bust anymore on the posability of G1 combiners when i think NONE of the combiners really HAVE the posability all you Posability Queens have....I mean come on...even the energon combiners are really NOT posable. sure you can twist their arms...big deal so can any combiner. None of them actually have the posability of say and Alternator/Binaltech and can you really Expect a combined form with 5 to 6 bots to have that? I think the answer to that is no since the energon combiners proved that.   Just my opinion here...

Landfill was the dumbest of all time..... but most of the gen 1 combiners were lame also...

I think the only reason why Landfill was bad was because of the way they connected. If they had incorporated a way that would have actually locked the pieces in place so it stayed together it would have made a world of difference.

Other than that I think he looks cool and is very poseable. I've displayed mine in a variety of cool poses, so to say he's brickish in any way just isn't true, g1 combiners were WAY worse in that department.

There has never been a perfect combiner, they all have their flaws. So I guess it's all up to picking which flaws are the easiest to live with and which ones aren't.

With that said, I'm going with the micromaster Defensor (and whatever his g1 versions name was). There's just not a whole lot you can do with him other than stand him straight up. The way the parts are make it impossible to raise his arms, at least not very well.

The worst for me is probably RID Landfill, the best is G1 Bruticus, Predaking and of course Devastator.
