i dont think its fair to bust anymore on the posability of G1 combiners when i think NONE of the combiners really HAVE the posability all you Posability Queens have....I mean come on...even the energon combiners are really NOT posable. sure you can twist their arms...big deal so can any combiner. None of them actually have the posability of say and Alternator/Binaltech and can you really Expect a combined form with 5 to 6 bots to have that? I think the answer to that is no since the energon combiners proved that.   Just my opinion here...

omega prime had posability. the only broblem with him was his hip joints. a different kind of joint would make him so much better. but he did have alot of posability and had that neat gimmick with the gun. next up...masterpiece devastator!

I like RiD Rail Racer, among the cominers that I have, he's the best IMO.  Followed by Omega Prime, followed by Sonic Convoy, followed by Landfill, followed by e. Optimus combined with Wing Saber.

The e. combiners were okay, and hey, I have them, don't pose them 'cause I really can't, and leave 'em in gestalt mode.  I don't have any G1s, save for a Devy KO, and it's complete Blote.

One thing my little brother did though was he took the arms from Rail Racer, attached them to where the posts for RiD U.M.'s arms go in robot mode, giving Omega extra punching power, and attached the cab and crane blaster from Hightower to Omega's right arm as a sword/cannon, and the dumpster as a shield on his other.  The crane attached the back of U.M.'s head, ala Landfill, and then some of Prime's Battle Mode gear was attached to the legs.  Imposing definitely as far as sheer power is concerned, but posability, well, like it's been said, his most difficult trick is standing up.

I liked all the gestalt combiners in one way or another. Its cool that you can take 3 to 6 transformers and make a bigger one out of them as well. As a kid  one of things i liked the most was that I could take these robots and put them all together for a kick ass robot. Albeit they were bricks but back then that was advanced stuff.

But since I can say any combiner I would say Energon Omega Supreme and Optimus. That was just plain dumb. Or any of the G1 micromasters that split in half combined with any other vehicle other than their own original parter.

JRX rules!

I can pose E-Bruticus in a roundhouse kick and he'll stay standing quite nicely.  The E-combiners aren't THAT unposeable.  Some of the limbs have shoddy feet connectors that hamper things, but the cranes/A-10s/tanks all make solid feet.

Worst = Magnaboss, because he barely qualifies as a combiner.  He's basically a combo Headmaster/Breastforce member.  What's the point of a combiner with the same four limbs becoming the larger limbs?  He does a handstand and the other two members pile up on his crotch to form the head.  Whoopee.

does everyone hate landfill/buildking that much? i never had any troubles with him. always fit together nicely for me. and i thought the way they all connect in the back was neat. only thing i didnt like on him was he didnt really have hands.

and jrx/railracer is prolly the best combiner to date. sangron, deffinetly give it another shot. you prolly got confused on the middle guy right? took me like half an hour to figure out how to get that bugger in place.

and as far as posability goes, if the e combiners and rid ones can move their legs and knees, thats a vast improvement over the older gestalts.

You can't just throw qualities out of the discussion to protect certain figures you may be enamored with. The question was pretty open- "any that really frustrate you".

I'm frustrated with toys that are great for laying foundations rather than for posing. E. combiners have knees and some of them also have elbows, which make for sweet action scenes.

I have no problems w/ often complained about figs like Omega Prime and Rail Racer- but other people do, and that may be their frustration point- and well justified by their own opinions.

Energon Gestults - THEY SUCK  :tfmad

The fact that SO MANY fans were MODIFYING the combined modes to make them LESS CRAPPY  :tfmad

The individual modes were great - combined, grate!  :tflaugh

When they were first announced I had visions of 5 unique well stylised bots and a cool posable gestult mode, instead we ended up with 3 good but buged bots and a combined mode that looked like an 80s GOBOT REJECT :tfpuke

Just too many corners cut! :tfmad

Me I'd rather take the gobot ((all the combined bot's parts were built in the bots, so no hands falling off all the dang time.))

And the puzzeler car set when combined had FULLY POSEABLE ARMS and DEFINED HAND FORMS :clap

Hmmmmm... that reminds me, Supirion maximus can only count up to 6 with his fingers!!!!! :tftongue

He can count up to 7, actually.

I don't include the nozecone as a finger  :tftongue

I think he means his Nosecone... er pit, cockpit!

I hate Raiden. Even more spindly than Superion. Road Caesar is pretty nasty all round as well.
