ok... im more than confused by your form of questioning. theres no such thing as transmutants. if youre reffering to transmutate, thats been covered. if your talking about transmetals, then heres their deal: a wave front from the transwarp explosion in the last episode of season1 turned most of the remaining maximals and predacons into transmetals. i dont know for sure what transmetals are but id have to make and educated guess and say theyre a meld of metal and living tissue. transmetal2 would have to be a further form of this. and id say technorganic (see beast machines) is the final evolved form.

OK, basic continuity of Beast Wars:

 

Axalon (Maximal/hero ship) and Darkside (Predacon/villian ship) crash through transwarp (portal in both time and space, created by the engines of the maximal and predacon ships) near a planet. Both ships are in bad condition, and the captain of the Axalon orders to evacuate the ship. Most of the crew gets into the stasis=pods, and are jettisoned into space. Only a core crew remains to try and land the ship safely.

 

Now, these stasis-pods are the original full crew of the Axalon, who remain in outer space until they are saved. These are protoforms, who have no transformation-form yet. every once in a while one lands on the planet, and both the Maximals and Predacons rush to it to add the protoform who is inside to their own ranks.

 

Fast forward a couple of cycles. Megatron tricked Optimus Primal to destroy one of the moons of the planet, which turned out to be a alien WMD (Weapon of Mass Destruction). He did so by using one of stasispods that fell earlier in the season, outfitted with a Transwarp engine. THe explosion killed Primal, and the shockwave knocked the stasispods that still were in outer space out of orbit, and onto earth. The Exp[losion also led to a Quantum Shockwave that altered the form of several of the Transformers.

-Those that landed in the ships, like Megatron, Cheetor, Rattrap, became Transmetals. Their distinctive looks include a third transformation, a robotic 'beast-mode' and a more organic robot-mode.

-Some transformers had a scanning malfunction, which resulted in them having a 'beast-mode' which combined elements of 2 different creatures. Silverbolt, for one, had a beast-mode which was combined of condor and wolf elements. Quickstrike had elements from a scorpion with as tail a snake. These creatures were called Fuzors, because they fused 2 beings into one.

-Later episodes revealed that the inhabitants of the remaining stasis-pods who landed on the planet, which turned out to be Earth itself, in prehistoric times, those inhabitants died. Rampage, being a mutant with a virtually indisctructable spark, was one of the few who survived. Another transformer who landed on Earth was Transmutate. This creature had no transformation, no intellect, no power, and virtually no personality. In fact, it should have been dead. But because its Spark clinged to life so much, it survived. There was only one of these. Transmutate (Not Transmutant) is therefor a name of an individual, not of a group, like Transmetal for instance is.

 

The Transmetal 2s were Transformers who upped their own power by intertwining the biological and cybertronian technologies even more, resulting in biomechanical creatures which had robotic and organic elements both in robot and beast mode.

Acourding to the writers the faux Moon is called the Planet Smasher.

WTF IS A TRANSMUTANT?

Alright, I understand more about "The" Tranmutant and not the Transmutants. What I think people where getting confused on me was...

 

- I haven't seen Beast Wars in 9 years. Don't have cash to buy Box Sets. So right there is a ton of information lost. I don't talk alot on Beast Wars either. It was just something in my mind that even if dumb, is perfectly logical to ask at anytime in ones life, than hiding behind, not asking (My Pride is not flenched, much).

 

- I really wanted to why the Stasis Pods held the Transformers in Earths Orbit and why they weren't already Transformers? What did they look like? If they came from Cybertron via the Axalon, etc. Then should of already been Transformers? If there where already Transformers; the crews in the Stasis Pods, why did they have to change when on earth?

 

This is the information that I didn't understand watching the series. Seeing no images of what any of the TF's looked like before having to change to match Earth.

The Transmutant, well I totally forgot about. I got confused thinking the Transmutant was the answer to the 2nd marked paragraph above. I know vagely remember that episode of the Transmutant.

The protoforms are the TF equivalent to Fetuses.
