Ebay feedback from Hell!!

Recommended Posts

I agree with VP and LM. The account may have been hijacked by someone else. This happened to a co-worker of mine. His account got hijacked and someone used his info to purchase a '65 Mustang! To the tune of $14,000! My co-worker freaked! But in the end he came out of it O.K.

You don't hijack somebody’s account and start listing 500% more items than normal. Those guys built up trust and then scammed everybody. They had been selling iPods and making people happy before. Plus - if their account had been hacked, they could have mentioned it to eBay and that would have stopped everything.

Pose this question. Doesn't anyone read a sellers feedback. I never buy from sellers with negitive feedback. I have over 130 purchases in 4+ years, I've never been burned. Always use credit and paypal! I never mail a check and rarely ever send a money order.

NEVER USE CHECKS!

I hope they get the chair.

:lol I was waiting for that

always read feedback and comments and see what the item was, it's a good indication of what you're dealing with

I got ripped off a couple of times on ebay. Nowadays, I never bid on anything there: instead, I either buy local, or deal through reputable online stores that I have had good business with.

Ebay uses 'caveat emptor' as a disclaimer to protect itself; but honestly, I think it's time Ebay took at least some type of responsibility in this. Too many folks are getting hurt in frauds like this, and quite frankly, it's horrifying to think who is waiting there to rook you for a considerable sum of hard-earned money.

Its really sad that Ebay has allowed this to happen, like everyone on here has said always use your credit card and youll be safe.  Sellers also need to know that if they sell to someone that pays with a credit card they need to use tracking and even better is to use Signature confirmation.

I just feel sorry for all those who got scammed. Some sad stories in there..

With regard to all of the "check the feedback" posts.

When these doods pulled this particular scam they had like 99% feedback with several hundred positives, which is why it worked so well.
