Ebay feedback from Hell!!

Recommended Posts

I was thinking that the last 50 or so people were just idiots for bidding, but it's all from the same day.  I find it hard to believe that the guy's hurt or something, because he went from few feedbacks at all to 108 bad ones, all for expensive stuff.

Was thinking the same thing. I mean I always check someone's feedback before bidding and if there are a lot of negatives I do not bid. Simply a precaution.

But I am sure there is not a person who had dealt on eBay a lot who did not get burned. I have had 3 bad transactions at least but given the amount of successful ones I think it is less than 1% that went wrong.

So I guess it is not all that bad. I have not lost faith in eBay but one should always be mindful of who to deal with. It is a kick if one of your first transactions goes bad though, really spoils eBay for you.

Here are a few tips:

Always check feedback. If the seller has a lot of negatives do not bid. Very few sellers are "clean". There are always buyers who give bad feedback if they have not gotten an item within a week.

Check pictures to see if the backgrounds match. If there are different backgrounds then the seller found them on the internet to cover up lack of his own and could be a scam.

Never buy DVD's from people located in ASIA as they are pirated ones.

Funny thing is I once purchased a MISB Sixshot (Japanese reissue) from a seller living somewhere in Asia. Seller had low feedback, no negatives ones though, so I was not sure if I should buy the item.

Finally did and received Sixshot in pefect mint condition. So things can work out just fine. Just be careful out there.

And it is a real same these people lost their money. Could be that the seller got in some trouble. I used to buy Transformers from a site called The Transformer Graveyard run by a guy named Steve.

Friendly chap in every way but suddenly dissapeared off the face of the Earth. Never found out what happened to him. His store could have failed or something like that causing him to go bankrupt.

Perhaps this seller had the same misfortune but given the amount of people he scammed I think it was not. Perhaps he was planning this all along, get a lot of good feedback then sell a lot of stuff at once and take people's money.

When they come looking for him, he would be long gone. What a crook! I would not mind getting rich but not by screwing people over. Especially so close to Christmas.

I was a little lucky buying a model from this guy. Alittle because I received the item, but it came w/ a part broken. I left positive feedback anyway, but I got regret about that because he started to have a lot of negatives, so I understand he is going wrong w/ the e-bayers. Take care to this guy, dont buy nothing from him, its a trouble.

It's very possible also, that the guy hacked into the account and used it to scam.  That way he has that many positive feedbacks to gain trust, but also harder to trace him.  It's hard to believe that a power seller like that with that many positive feedback can turn around and scam (though it's possible but unlikely).

wow. have to go five pages of feedback to find anything positive.

this is just sad i aways use the same reliable guys so ive not been bumped yet.

i looked back tho his stuff and at 1 point he seemed lagit then at 1 point he just started to rip off every one

One lesson to be learned is ALWAYS use PayPal and check if you're covered, if not make sure you use a Credit Card through PayPal. Ebay recommends that you use PayPal and are in the process of making other ways of paying illegal. My Brother got burned in a similar scam but he's learned his lesson.

Is there any reason for a seller NOT to accept PayPal?

Why does everyone think eBay is responsible, lol! They provide the software and comp space, read their rules and legal crap, it basicly says bid at you're own risk...also I'm suprised no one questioned the amount of crap this guy sold in one week and the prices they were going for...it reeked of a scam. They will never catch the guy, hope the fates teach him a very evil lesson. Also remember for every punk out there there are still a few good sellers like me trying our best.

Ebay is responsible for allowing scammers to use their system and not doing anything about it.
