Diaclone movie at Walmart!

The manga for Diaclone came from the toys released by Joustra in France.

Yes Tripredacus, there was that comic (its actually not to bad, I have full page English translated versions of most of them), but there was also a short lived black and white Diaclone Manga comic that I have only seen a couple of(have copies of a one very short issue) that came out in Japan.  Little kids running around with some strangely drawn characters (kinda like the duface in Defenders that plays baseball, the little round guy).  They were flying around in the diatrain, this big weird guy was yelling at the kids about something (can't read Japanese) and I think bonked someone on the head.

I never can remember the names of the pre TV versions of those Roadbuster trio.  The other tank, its a weird robot.  I have a little diecast version of it somewhere...and a little transformable one.  Have a Roadbuster/Callibur diecast action figure too...wonder if they made a Whirl that scale and action figure-re.

Primus knows how many other shows and or comics were out there in Asia and Europe.  Sometimes collectors tend to keep things a secret, makes the material more rare I guess.

I'll see if I can find the copies I have and post a pict or something.

There was a brief appearance of some Diaclone G1 cars (Marlboor and Police Streaker) in some RID comic I also got a nice copy of.

Anyone see Diatron 5 in Walmart let me know!  Save me the trouble of converting it to DVD.

Geez. I've had this DVD sitting on my desk for almost two months now, and I've been baffled why Inferno was in it since I saw it on the rack...

of course, I still haven't watched it all the way through, as about 15 minutes in, I started to fall asleep.

Anyone know what the Japanese name of the series is?

Aoi

The only name I've known it to be is Phoenixking.

I got mine at a Family Dollar about a month back...wish i could get my dollar back & buy a tacobell 89 cent taco

Figured I'd post here first.  Funny thing happened in my trip to the super walmart.  They had a $1 video rack near the toy section.  I glanced at the covers and something caught my eye, it was a weird robot with some cartoon people here and there.  I picked it up and flipped it over to see 3 screen grabs...one was more humans, another was some french guy with a machine gun that looked familiar...but the middle one, was INFERNO with a birds crest on his chest...The title right on the slim DVD case was "DEFENDERS OF SPACE" which was the name of a weird Diaclone or Pre TF series I came across years ago.

So the once rare, nearly unheard of Diaclone series featuring the mystic Inferno space fire engine robot that battles armies and kicks arse with his rocket punch...is now found at the $1 rack at walmart...

Quality seems pretty good I guess.  I'll have to dig up the copy I have in storage (might be in French, so the english version is an improvement, and saves me the trouble of converting my copy.

SO YOU LUCKY DIACLONE FANS GO TO WALMART AND FIND YOUR SELVES A COPY!  $1 for Diaclone history!

Yo, I saw this at the Walmart near my house!  I thought it was some kinda rip-off of Transformers going by that robot that looks like Inferno, so I passed.  If this is Diaclone, I might go back and pick it up.

Might go back?  It's only $1.00, pick it up! :thumb

BTW, this isn't Diaclone.  AFAIK, Diaclone had no official on-air media.  This is just one of the many random "Korean Anime" OVAs that got released in the 70's/80's, with almost all of them ripping off random giant robot designs from various series.

One of the other video's from this company, that made their "movie" out of fight scene clips from various Korean animation shows looks to have totally ripped off TRON.  Not Megatron, the Disney one.

It was this guy in a suit with a couple circuts runnind down his arms, and the deadly disk, fighting robots (supposed to be goofie Warriors) and going up against a Cark looking character.  I'll have to make clips of that and post pictures.

Interesting for a buck.

"id buy that for a dollar!"
