Well, just so everyone knows, I cannot do the transparent sunroof...due to the molded details on the underside of the roof.  It just doesn't look right.

Great idea...and I still might be able to pull it off...it might just be a sticker though...we'll see...

As far as progress...I am still trying to figure out a way to break up the main body.

I picked up an extra Alternator Prowl now just in case I screw this up...hahahaha

you could always make the sunroof by sanding down the details on the underside of the roof, painting over it with the color of the interior of the roof, and leaving it looking like it was closed with the cover on it, so the outside wtill has a clear sunroof but its just not completely see through...

does that make sence? haha

^ exactly, or spray w/ tamiya "smoke" paint and it should look as if it came from the factory w/ a "tinted sunroof glass"!!!

I haven't updated in a long time...and I just wanted everyone to know where I stand with my project.  I've been working some mad hours at my job...

I ran into a snag in figuring out a way to separate a few of the pieces that make up the main body on Alternators Prowl.  I kinda stopped working on the project once I hit that snag...and actually made a Ratchet out of a KO White Hound (like many have done before me...)

I actually ruined one the Prowl I was originally turning into VTEC...but its all good now, cause I found another!  (Although I still need another one for nother project)

I just attached soem of the pieces I painted to Prowl...just to get an idea on color scheme...and I really am goign for the original body for Sideswipe idea!

Here is what he looks like now without a head:

Here is my planned color scheme...

As you can see, I haven't chosen a head yet.  I wanted to go with Alternator Sideswipes head...but it just looks so big on Alt Prowl's body...so I'm still looking.

I also replaced Prowl's hands with Sideswipes hands.  They even hold Prowl's gun better...
