For me I am fine with the Prime Alt, because its not staying Prime for long.  This one is quickly becoming Ironhide.  A simple head switch with the second painted version of Skids and walla.  So we will have

 

Yellow Tracks with Deadends head = Sunstreaker

Blue Prowl with Smokescreens Head = Blue Streak

Deadend with Sideswipes head = Deadend

Swerve with prowls head = Rodimus

 

Going to pass on the Yellow Viper Sunstreaker, just dont care for it and having two alts with the same heads both in yellow will just not work.  So going to get two Skids, one Prime and one mirage (depending on repaint), Red alert (I like the subaru mold), and I have to find something to do with the red Jazz. 

honestly i have loved the Alt Prime since i saw it...i stopped collecting Alts because they got repetitive and i knew what to expect..then they show us Optimus Prime! and ehs not a fire truck or a Trailor Truck!!! i love it, hes finally something else and thanx to this im gonna get back into alts...but only if they keep this kinda stuff up :D

if Hasbro does plan to make an Alt-Trailbreaker, they'll probably just make him a straight repaint of Swindle like they did with Sunstreaker/Dead End.

Except, the current announcement for the third Jeep is orange and Rollbar (who was green if I remember correctly...great G1 hommage). Unless, of course, there's going to be fourth jeep.

 

With Hasbro's statement that there a fourth Subaru coming, Ricochet, I do wonder how many versions of each mold we'll see. (Or will we miss out on the alert repaint?)

Ricochet is the third Alt Subaru.

I still don't get why people keep wanting a Jeep repaint for Trailbreaker. He wasn't a freakin jeep. He was a pick-up with a topper.

 

This Prime Alt with a different color and head, would be a perfect Trailbreaker. Especially if you add a topper that can be removed as, say, a sheild or something.

I think people are syaing TB as Jeep because thats what Swindle was meant to be....

I'd still say a Landrover would be a better match than a jeep, but a light duty pickup is what he was, and would be an easy Alt to to make. Release the black red and silver one as TB and then in 6 mos release a green one with yellow as Moist. I mean Hoist.

Everyone keeps speaking of an Ironhide. Well I`m surprised no one has meantioned the Dodge Sprinter as a fantastic possibility for Ironhide. I mean it has a flat front, and the size of that van makes for the possibility of a base like the G1 Ironhide. That and because it`s a van it could easily be redone into Ratchet.

I guess that makes us the only two people here to think of the Dodge Sprinter.  I've mentioned that van before.  I saw a red colored one on the street, and I thought it was perfect for Ironhide.  Everyone seems to have this great fear that mini-van is the only option for Ironhide at this point in time.  It's always, "SOCCER MOM VAN, NNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!"  No one realizes that Ironhide could be commercial grade van, something that might be used by an electrician, plumber, or some other kind of contractor.  Nothing says manliness more than a skilled trade, and that's what can be associated with the Dodge Sprinter.
