different continuities. Beast Convoy isn't the same as Optimus Primal. There's a difference. It's pretty clear that Optimus Primal does not have a Matrix throughout the Beast Wars series, except for when he carried Optimus Prime's spark when Rhinox said Prime's spark "has a Matrix with it." Events from the American Beast Wars are not meant to coincide with the Japanese Beast Wars (despite what X-bob has to say about it  :tflaugh)

actually, that was retconned out as well. the writers had watched the scene where Prime dies in the movie, but didn't see the rest of it, and misunderstood what the matrix was. once informed, they made statements saying that was actually a Spark Holder designed to look like the matrix. reason for this being a decoy or something.

Rhinox's comment aobut the matrix being with prime's spark has since been ignored by canon.

but not a dick aobut it>

Wow, continuity sucks.

Wow, continuity sucks.

yeah, sometimes I'm surprised how I can keep it all straight. pre-Crisis DC, post-Crisis DC, Marvel 616, Ultimate Marvel, Age of Apocalypse Marvel, Animated DCU, cartoon G1, Marvel G1, DW G1, IDW G1, US Beast Wars, Japanese Beast Wars, etc....

But nothing makes my head hurt more than time travel.
