Hmm, I like the figure of Transmutate, it's unique. Now a show accurate Ravage statue and one of Black Arachnia and I'm fully happy for BW.

Transmutate looks like a dude to me.  A hideous, hunch-backed, one handed dude, but a dude all the same.  Point out something feminine about it and I'll be inclined to agree with you.

How would you guys feel about getting Una, Jack and their dad the Cave dude with Grimlocks rock club weapon? Or BM Megatron's mantainence drone? I'd love a Mega sized TV accurate Tankor. His sounds could be "Tankor Smash!' Then you insert a Planet Key and then he sounds intelligent like Rhinox. Ooh! His Planet Key could look like the "Key to Vector Sigma." That would be sweet. IMO

I liked the episode with transmutate. a good what if filler type story. Reguarding the figure, I personally think it looks like a deranged bionical but then again what Bionical doesn't look deranged. For me Transmutate is a cool bonus. I'm excited for the actual figures, and hope to collect them all. One way or another. If Beastwars succeds with fans I'm hoping for a show acurate first season black Arachnia. rereleases of both Infernal, and rampage would be cool.

 

Reguarding hasbro. I think they're doing a great job putting out what they are. Armada was a flop with fans, but I liked it for what it was, and since then they've made major improvements with Energon, and Cybertron, and have given us elder long time as well as younger first time fans a lot to really appreciate. As far as the Starscreaming goes, haven't they at least attempted to provide something for everyone. The G1 fan base got reisues though somewhat half assed/G1 esq Alts/Homages in both Energon/Cybertron/20th edition Optimus Prime, and if that doesn't say anything how about the rumours of a G1 revisted line in the works following Cybertron. If that's not enough Megatron is about to turn gun again. Need I say more. Oh yeah, STFU K THNKS :thumb 

 

Back on the topic of Beastwars. In recent years Hasbro has attempted to bring back Beasties in some shape or form since Beastmachines. In RID we had Predacons, In Armada there were some decent Beastwars repaints, in Energon Terracons, and Cybertron has a whole planet devoted to them. Lastly they're are the Universe repaints which were great for those of us who missed em all the first time around . too bad the colours on a majority of em sucked. :tdown  That said I'm really looking forward to some show acurate quality Beastwars figs in 2006. :thumb

 

Oh and is this Target exclusive rumour now official? If it is us canadians have just been shafted again just like the alts.          :grr  :grr  :grr

That was more Takara's fault. In Car Robots line, those Predacons were never released in Japan. So to the Japanese people not importing Hasbro figs, they were still new. Since Hasbro imported the show and figs from Takara, they had no choice but to incorperate those figures. I do get your point though.

Id like to know how G1 toys have not withstood the test of time? Is that quality wise or what? as for the beast wars reissues...i have all the originals ... hmmm do i need the reissues just for transmutate or should i wait for the inevitable ebay seller to just be selling transmutate for some rediculous price? LoL. Didnt we have enough reapints DURing beast wars? I mean i have like three versions or each toy....original colors..fox kids colors...TM colors...TM2 colors...and so on....NOT saying that i do not love beast wars cuz I DO LOVE BEAST WARS :-) Just saying for sayings sake.....beast wars is what started the repaint mania isnt it?

 

 

The transmutate episode was one of the "Cute" episodes IMO. It was different and I like it. I think it was just messed up because its scanners and such were broke. Not sure if it were boybot for fembot....Im still not sure how a robot can be a gende. It didnt have an alternate mode, however it had special "powers". It could heal....could stop missiles....and could fly. Def a good episode and glad they are going to have this "special" release for us beastie fans! I am a transfan...i dont choose one series over another...I like them all! :thumb

It's only been stated nurmerous times in this thread that these are not Target exclusives.  They were never listed in the Target computers as such.  I do not believe Hasbro would confine an Anniversary line like this to just one store, as it would essentially kill it.
