I liked it better when nothing was known about Unicron (TFTM era).

 

I am not a big fan of the whole "Unicrons a god" gibberish. Nothing was identified about his origin when he appeared in Transformers the Movie. He was just a gigantic deathstar like robot and no further explanation was given or needed in my opinion.

the heralds of unicron are the only reason i think they bother to keep unicron around now. the heralds are interesting and mysterious not to mention they can kick some ass. okay the starscream ans scorponok from energon are pretty crap but goodones like sideways,the fallen, ramjet,nemisis prime. if you want a good explination you should read the tfcc magazine

i dunno but i like everything to do with unicron. when i first saw him transform in the movie, all i wanted was more. in the cartoon continuity hes not really a god so go by that if you want. all other continuities it seems he is, but either way ill always be happy to see him.

I'd have preferred Unicron to have been seen in the movie, but from that point on become something of a myth - something that is always feared by TFs but never seen.

Unicron created the minicons to exploit the energies of the Cybertronian wars in Armada. In an episode the kids are transported to an alternate timeline where the minicons didn't develop self awareness, all of the Transformers are captured and being drained of the sparks.

 

I like that Unicron, he was more devious, more calculating, exploiting the conflict for his own benefit. For more interesting than "I once considered sparing your wretched little planet, but now you shall witness.... it's DISMEMBERMENT"

I wouldn't mind a season w/o unicron. 

 

but I wouldn't mind a series to last more than one season either.

unicron was not sideways. in an episode i remember sideways getting tortured by unicron for not doing the getting the kids and minicons right.
