unicron was not sideways. in an episode i remember sideways getting tortured by unicron for not doing the getting the kids and minicons right.

When Sideway's voise changed and started sounding Demonic it was Unicron Taliing.

sideways was just a herald. who was greedy for power and unicron conditionally gave it to him.... you know how that sort of thing goes. when it comes towards the end though and unicron is exposed and under direct attack he uses sideways for what a herald is meant  to do and that is to be a messanger and to represent their master. just incase anyone is unsure about thrust. he wasent a herald even though he worked for unicron. he was just an oppertunistic traitor that fancyed his chances better with unicron than against him. also on the topic of other heralds nemisis prime was just a cloned prime who was tortured and twisted over thousands of years until corrupt. the possesing the dead matrix to kill primus. ramjet im not sure. is a herald but was trapped between dimensions and became warped and infused with some sort of energy. he is reckoning and his every word is madness. fallen is one of the 13 that either became traitor or was tortured like prime

Sideways and A-Nemisis Prime were spawned from Unicron, they are diferent aspects of his personality(Kinda like Naraku's incarnations in Inuyasha)

I always felt that Sideways as a minion/herald/pawn. However I always thought that the combined  form of Crosswise and Rook were Unicron. Thus he has some independence, but Unicron is always there to punish him.

If that's the little guy's name, yeah. When they had the confrontation inside Unicron, it was the minicons that were still talking, not Sideways.

It almost seemed like Sideways and his minicons shared a single consiousness

could someone fill me in on the whole heralds and their stories please?  i mean i know who the heralds are, but the stuff from the mag that explains U-Nem Prime, Ramjet, etc...  to me they've only been toys with no backstory.

I liked it better when nothing was known about Unicron (TFTM era).

I liked the idea that no one on Cybertron know who Unicron was. But other people from other planets knew... It was like a big mystery to the Autobots.

In the comics, Unicron's heralds were versions of Ramjet, Thunderwing, Bludgeon, Scourge and Galvatron from G1--except they weren't called by their names. Unicron had plucked them from various realities to act as his heralds, sending them ahead to prepare the planet for consumption and destroy that planet's Megatron and/or Optimus (or so I gathered). At one point, we get glimpses of the RiD, BW, BM and BWNeo universes inside warp gates. Also, Unicron devours one version of Cybertron and consumes then posesses "Spinister" to converse with Optimus.
