i always though starscream was a femine name, and his whiny voice in g1 didn't help  :tflaugh

I wonder if that is why the old "Starscream female in the French translation of G1" rumor came about.

Not a rumour.

And just for the sake of keeping the argument going:

Look at the Starscream in the background on the left. Definitely female, I would say. :tfevil

Feminine Starscream? He always did appeal to the female audience....

That's it!! Starscream is the Transformers equivalent of a bishonen!

I am seeing Crumplezone and Override in the Cheetor and Shockwave designs

I get more of a TT Cheetor vibe from AutoLander/Brakedown.

….coming in way late but better late than never. Personally these designs are tooooo out there for my taste. I must be real out of touch because the retro gewuners still look futuristic to me  :tflaugh

One of the reasons I like transformers is because there bot modes hits close to home while appearing alien at the same time. They have characteristics that I can relate too but at the same time they have blatant differences that keep me intrigued. Even the more odd ones like G1 Shockwave or E. Scorpinok still seem less archaic than these "futuristic" designs of Transtech. Transtech is too obnoxious for me.

I can't feel any luv for these designs and am happy they were scraped.

Transtech = :tdown

when I was a little kid, I thought SS was female.

Egh, I feel like we dodged a bullet, honestly.  I really don't like most the designs seen above- especially Cheetor's.  Sheesh.  Wasn't the Parking Garage Class Cheetor from BM enough?  The concept art reminds me a bit too much of Beast Machines, which I admittedly hate as a whole.

I think both of these guys hit the nail on the head.  I loved BW, liked BM, but most of these are just too....dorky.  some parts looked disproportionate, the toys would've been less show accurate than the BM ones.

I'm sure the story line would've been great.  but these designs suck.  JMO.

The Optimus Trukmunky would only be considered awsome if the face lit up...

Other than that, I can't say I liked the BM toys...even though I own almost all of them...the only one I really liked was the Supreme Primal that came out in RID...and the BM Dinobots which I liked.

Megatron was just weak in toy form during BM...

But I loves me the Cybertron figures

who's that between mp/anni's legs? :tfhuh
