not really, its the fact that its so crisp that adds to its creedence.  A dupilcate or fake would not be so crisp nor ahve that coloured plastic underneith the paint if it was a stripped original.  If Hastak was going to do a reissue swoop the copyright info would be different.

despite the high price it is not economic to produce a high quality figure as this as a 1 off knock off

wasn't swoop part of the diaclone line?

All the Dinobots were

Well, basically I can afford that, but there's really no way I'm going to pay that much for it. I think the regular Swoop is already priced to high, and I'm not even talking about the more show accurate Diaclone one. This one, is waaaaaayyyy to expensive IMO.

Do think it's an outrage that you still have to pay for shipping, though.

got this from the seller today when I asked him about it seeming a little fishy:

Hi,

No offense at all, I’m glad that you asked. I got this piece from a reputable toy dealer in japan. He said that he had it since the 1980s. At first I didn’t believe so I asked him if I could take a look at it and when I saw the trademarks, I was eagerly happy to make him an offer. Look at the details of this piece! You just don’t know how many offers I got already which I’m considering to sell. As far as I know, this IS the only piece that exist out there right now. I’ve been collecting and selling Transformers for a very long time and I’m still blown away that I have a piece such as this. This is not those cheap prototypes that you see on Ebay that is coming out from China and Singapore. This is the real deal here Hasbro/Takara from Japan. The quality is from the 80s is there. I can guarantee you will NEVER see a piece like this ever again, not on ebay, botcon, comic con, or anywhere on the internet. You can google it all you want and if you come across anything even close to this, let me know =).

Thanks!
