Beast Era Cybertronian Modes

It was curious how Megatron still adressed Dinobot as Dinobot. Perhaps they could already transform but in mechanized Beast modes. When they crashlanded, they were modified to be organic.

the Prefex Dino is a dopted from the greek word deinos, wich means Terrible, so in this case Dinobot's name means Terrible Robot

Or "Dinobot" might be just another name passed down through TF generations, stemming from the original G1 Dinobots.

...That's a stretch, even for you, BooB.

Alright guys, can you please leave the constant personal bickering out of these threads? Take it to PMs if it's that important and all-consuming that you can't just drop it.

I'm looking at Grim, DLP, AND XBOB

Most of these threads are painful enough to get through already...

In the case of the Dinobots AND Dinobot, the prefix "Dino" comes from the generally-used abbreviation for dinosaur:  "dino".

So named because they're DINOSAUR BOTS.  :roll

If X-BoB would refrain from posting irrelevant, irreverant and generally annoying things simply to stir up debates, we wouldn't have to smack him down with facts and actual information.  :)

Luckily, I now have the recourse of the board's "Ignore Users" function.  :thumb

so far i have enjoyed the concept of this thread DLP - aside from you and Xbob bickering i dont see anything that is annoying.

However- Xbob, you did ask for opinions, and there is no formal stance on this (and not everyone is privy to the Jap-continuity) - so be gratious to various POVs

Now i have not seen BM or even all of BW - so i am not able to comment.  What i dont understand is why the idea of cybertonians having NON-transformable bodies keeps being brought up.

TFs have always had ALT modes - otherwise they would not have a PREMISE!!!  its not just a nifty side affect of landing on earth. I *Think* they have always had Alt modes.  maybe smaller andmore efficient, maybe some are vehicular and soem are beast-- whatever..... but they have something

Also the debate about Dino-bot's name: I think thats just a crutch having to do with telling the stories in "english" or any earth language.  We dont know what their Cybertronian Names are because EVERY TF story is translated into english by necessity for us the audience to understand it. there for what Megs on cybertron is saying is: "Cybertronian equivelant to what the audience refers to as dinobot"

That's true. I don't really care though, it's just that you said there weren't any dinosaurs on Cybertron which struck my memory of that episode.
