Well, if she is indeed definitely positively confirmed then yes, I am :D

the thing with arcee is that she was not a well known character (i know this is not a g1 film but people will be looking for characters they know and care about) and bearing this in mind a character like wheeljack or ironhide or even sunstreaker or sideswipe would be better. they could even include wreckgar or groove if they want a bike.

Beleive me, of the general population to which this movie is going to be geared - the only characters that 95% of these people are going to remember are Optimus, Bumblebee, Megatron, Starscream and Soundwave - and maybe Jazz - and that's probably pushing it.

 

And I'd say that Wreckgar and Groove are way more obscure than Arcee.

 

also from a marketing point of view arcee would not sell as well as the other known character identities as the male characters always sell better in the lines as male characters are more conventional for robots' personas.

the characters i remember from seeing g1 when young were, prime, beach comber, swoop, grimlock, starscream, ravage, soundwave, perceptor, Bruticus, Hotspot, powerglide, wheeljack bumblebee and sunstreaker. (the eps i saw where only desertion of te dinoboots, dinobot island, starscream's brigade and the revenge of Bruticus though. if i think hard enough i can just picture the starscream telling megs he's going to blow up the earth through the eyes of a child.)

Murphy said that she was in it...but he wasn't even 100% sure it was her name. He was like "Whoever the pink motorcycle is....isn't it Arcee?"

DM usually refers to her as "RC."

Honestly, as long as it won't diminish the storyline, why not? Although I strongly suspect that the storyline in this version is going to have more holes in it that Starscream's body after Galvatron blasted him in TF:TM

Well...

Honestly I don't care if she's in there...but what I HATE is I won't get to have characters like Ironhide, Prowl, Sideswipe, or Brawn in there since they want a limited cast and a female.

 

That is my only complaint.
