Petition for Arcee to be in Transformers Movie

Recommended Posts

Okay in all seriousness:

If people complain about Arcee being in this movie, they're just betraying their secret desire for this to be a MTMTE retread. "OMG ARCEE DIDN'T APPEAR UNTIL LATER!!" Oh really? In what continuity? OH you're talking about G1.... well too bad this is an ORIGINAL MOVIE so STFU. k thx :thumb

This is really all that needs to be said on the subject...

Although, one could also add, "Waaa... If Arcee is in the movie (sniff) than my completely interchangable male character won't be... Waaa..."

Do you all really hate Arcee and other female bots that much? :wtf So you don't think any of the female bots in G1 and on should have existed?

Hate? No.

Y'see, I believe robots are genderless. Thus, to hate a robot for being "female" makes no sense to me. But the designs (Pastel colours, t3h r0b0b00bz0r5!!111) were, in my eyes, silly and their personalities were even more one-dimensional than the rest of the cast (No mean feat).

A decent design, colour scheme and a personality as opposed to a cliché, and I'll be a happy man.

i suggest you check out the new fem bot in GF... awesome and mean, very "Black Arachnia" like personality

Well true dat, however since there will only BE 6 or so main characters on a side, there will be A LOT of people complaining anyways about their character not making teh cut :P :)

Look, if we're gonna debate the merits of male/female robots, okay.

But that is NOT what this discussion is supposed to be about.

It's supposed to be: "given the fact that TFs are male and female, what's the problem with having Arcee in the movie?"

You may not like fembots but that doesn't make them any less official.

it wouldn't bother me one bit as long as hot rod gets the matrix by movie 2

Don't you mean Hot Shot?

Like I said - dodgy design issues, and the personality. I dunno about you guys, but the robotic equivalent of the typical pink-wearing all American slightly ditzy blonde really doesn't appeal to me.

If Arcee is in the film and if she gets a decent design and a personality, I have no problems. But my chief fear is that the film will fall into that trap.

I can see your point, but I highly doubt that would happen. The recent trend of kickass women in action/adventure seems to still be holding up. Sure we get the occasional deviation into "Elektra" or "Catwoman" territory, but look at Kiera Knightley (or just ogle her) in "Pirates of the Caribbean" and "King Arthur," Angelina Jolie in "Tomb Raider" and "Mr. & Mrs. Smith," etc.
