A Deal with the Devil..

Recommended Posts

Kay here's the sitch. I payed a visit to that Toysnjoys website and decided to order some harder to find stuff from them.. namely the remainder of the Transmetals I've been hankering for but could never find. I probably would of avoided them outright if I had a choice. I don't trust Ebay. Anyway... to make a long story short, I placed the order like a month ago.. and I've yet to see any progress as to what's been goin on. I was not supplied a tracking number on my reciept.. and I'm not even sure if I've been charged for it or not.  :redface I tried emailing them askin what for, and I've yet to hear from them.

For the few that have ordered from these guys, how long does this stuff usually take?  :tfhuh I'm starting to get a little concerned about this. I'm generally a very patient guy.. but my patience is starting to run a little bit of the thin side.  :tfmad

international, flat shipping means it can take up to half a year (Really, happened to me) to reach you. Depends on how you had it send to you.

If they had send it to you, without tracking number, it's impossible to find out where it is now.

Lesson #1 - Never EVER give your credit card info to the other side - only to EBay itself to handle payment. If that won't do - don't deal with them.  Check your charge account immediately, and see if you have been charged - and for the amount and number of times. (Big clue right there - as a few ebay scammers have been 'taking numbers' to max out cards criminally.

Contact via email immediately once that's done. A month is too long without any response - at least a 'has been shipped, here's your tracking info' number. If you've already been charged contact Ebay immediately about potential fraud. They can deal with the issue once it's brought to their attention.

If not, then update the order and contact the seller again. It's possilbe that they just lost it.  Give it another 7 days to get resolved.

Yeah, I'd do that but I didn't use EBay.. lol  :tfgrin

Powerglide Toys n Joys.  Powerglideballs-- all of them.

Took me a little under 2 months, 4 emails and 5 phone calls to get my full order to me.

If it wasn't one thing it was another. If the "internet department" (dumbBlot guy) wasn't open, then he was out to lunch. If one item wasn't in, then they'd wait for it to come in, and while waiting for that one the other one was out of stock so I had to wait for THAT one.

Not only that, but when the order came, the #06 Megatron's box was totally Powerglideed up. I mean torn, bent, and what appeared to be water-stained. At that point I didn't even consider sending it back-- probably would have been charged double.

That was the most horrible experience I have *EVER* had with an online retailer.

NOTE TO EVERYONE: DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH TOYSNJOYS.COM !!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry, Galzamus Primeblade-- I don't know what to say. A weekly call with a calm, mature, but super pissed nature seemed to get the job done, kinda.

Call those cockwads. Weekly until your stuff arrives.

yo whats up GP.

my brother-in-law ordered from them last year and it took about 7 weeks for the item to be delivered. on top of that, there were parts missing from inside the box. he called...nothing. he emailed...nothing for 2 weeks. finally, the email seemed to be an automated response asking for the problem.(already stated in original email) he went along with it, emailed again, and never heard from them to this day.

giving them the benefit of the doubt, item ordered was the bandai macross reissue which does not come taped. but i think it was already displayed and that is why it was at a discounted price.

IMO, it is still bad business the way they handle things.

I don't get how anyone can say they don't trust ebay but then they'll go and order stuff from an online retailer with no idea about their reputation. Ebay is SAFE! If you have any doubts about a seller, just check his feedback rating and if anything there looks fishy, simply don't buy from them.

Otherwise don't be afraid to e-mail sellers about any questions or concerns you may have about an item before bidding. I've bought TONS of stuff on ebay and I've never had any problems, but I've had several problems getting ripped off by online retailers.

Yeah, I'd do that but I didn't use EBay.. lol  :tfgrin

I have no idea why I read that you did.

Still, most of the same applies, call your credit card company, and list them as a possible fraudulent transaction. They should give you more information on what to do next.

I ordered from them before, a hard to find Superlink Divebomb recolor. I didn't have any problems with mine, though some have said they've had problems.

It took about a little over a month to arrive. They are based in Hawaii I think. Be patient, it'll get there.

You might pay a little bit more for shipping, but I've had better experiences buying things from Singapore, Japan, or Hong Kong than Toysnjoys.
