I like the new mold simply because.. it's a new mold! :tftounge

I'm happy we're getting a Prowl in this line. I remember way back when Smokes came out that someone somewhere spefically said 'There will be no police cars.. period' .. I'm glad they changed their mind.

I wouldn't of accepted Prowl as a WRX.. the mold just doesn't suit him. I'm waiting to see this new one's final stage.. so far it looks like a test shot, and you can't tell much from those.

I know it's "fanboyish" but I still think it should have been the same mold as Silverstreak and Smokescreen. Just my opinion though.

I would've accepted it, simply because that's how it was in G1. I'm glad we're getting a new mold tho, even if the general design should have gone to Sideswipe. :tfmad

But, in a way, this Prowl is more like G1, since it's a two door car that has no business being a police car, which is good by the way.

They only decided to do Alt Prowl at all because I finally started my kitbash. :tard

That having been said...

My GeeWunner answer: I would have rather seen him as another WRX. There are actual WRX police cars already in Japan, so it would have been fine... As for the Acura, I agree it should have been Red alert. And Sideswipe, for that matter, but hindsight is always 20/20.

My decidedly NON GeeWunner answer: I don't care which mold Prowl is, the G1 decals look UBER LAME. Alternators need to be designed after REAL cars to keep the feel of the line. "Decepticharge" is bad, and this is worse.

My Kitbasher answer: It's a good thing they DID make Prowl as the Acura, instead of reusing the WRX mold. That way, it's still worth my time to KB the WRX into Prowl, so he can be done right. :thumb

BTW, I stand behind all three of those answers.

How about a "US Version" Prowl... Crown Vic Police Interceptor! :thumb

Let's face it . . . this not mode suxx....

I dunno about Crown Vics... not very hip and cool y'know? The only other patrol cars I've seen out there are Chevy Impalas. What about them?
