Please forgive me if this poll was conducted here before, I seem to recall a similiar one but a quick search of "Prowl" brought up nothing recent. This is more to comment about a piece of Singapore news.

 

Singapore police are likely to get Subaru WRX as their highway patrol car, replacing the current BMW ones since WRX would be cheaper and just as powerful a vehicle for highway patrols.

 

If this were true, that means there will be a real life WRX police car! Had HasTak waited a while more, they could give Prowl the same car model as Smokescreen and Blue/Silverstreak, just like how all 3 back in G1 were Fairladies.

 

Now, being the ever-opiniated (read: complaining) fandom, would we have accepted a 3rd (for Alternators) or 6th (for Binaltech) WRX in the Binalternators line? For me, the WRX robot sure looks better than what we've seen of the Acura robot. The geewun-er in me would gladly accepted a WRX Prowl. The Honda Acura could have been used to bring back another classic character, but given HasTak's recent trend, we might just end up disappointed whoever they choose. (So tell me again, just who is Decepticharge!)

 

Opinions aside, how cool it would be if Binalternators Prowl was based on a Singapore Police car :P

I prefer the WRX to the Acura, especially after seeing some of the customs done. Don't have any pictures of customs but here is one of the Acura. Would have liked to see them repeat what they did in G1 with Smokes, Silver (Bluestreak) and Prowl. Would have been a nice touch.

5 versions of the WRX? :usa has only seen 2. If they really plan to do 3 characters from each mold (Swerve), The third WRX should've been Prowl.

sure, the mold's not bad. I just think the Kitbash WRX Prowls look a 1000 times better. It just doesn't say "Prowl" to me, except for the decals.

Although the Acura (based on the current pics) isn't perfect, I still prefer it over another release of the WRX.

 

First because there are already two (or four) version of this mold available

 

Second because although I liked Smokescreen and Silverstreak, it was obvious from the start that the mold wasn't te greatest. More recent BT/ALT have shown so many improvements over the WRX (especially in the leg department), that I'm simply not too anxious for another use of that mold.

 

Would still have bought it if Has/Tak would've used the WRX, but I think if they would have made Prowl a third release, the RX-8 would be the best choice.

I love how almost everyone is warming up to the Prowl mold.
