Well I can say this didn't make me want him...I'm still standing firm on not getting him. If they gave him HIS gun and took away the axe and repainted Megatron I'd think twice, maybe...maybe, though, I still wouldn't since it's $100+.

 

If Hasbro took it and made him plastic (Affordable) and got rid of Prime's Gun, Axe, and Megatron I'd consider getting it. This is of course saying that since they'd be getting rid of Prime's accessories they'd give him his gun and maybe one other thing.

 

Oh and...

The communicator with Prime is lame...I just don't see it being a good idea. If it was Kup or Rodimus or Blurr that would have been cool.

well the un armored magnus cam from dream wave commics takeing liberties with the g1 toy. magnus got scrapped so bad try'n to save prime that he had to shead his armor revealing a white optimus mode. therefor it makes sence that he'd be calling optimus, but haveing the matrix, well thats just garbage.......but then again i don't have the dream wave commics issue in question.

lets just hope the matrix is impossible to open and he comes with "dammit open" voice chip action :thumb

Not attacking you here or nothing...but...I think most of us know where the "Un-Armored" Magnus comes from.

Yet it's still a let-down for the Masterpiece toyline.

 

And I don't like him calling Optimus cause it seems like a waste of a feature...he could have called anyone of the main characters around him at the time he is most predominate, such as Rodimus, Kup, Arcee, Blurr, Springer, or even Sky-Lynx.

 

Ah what the hell, why do I complain, I'm not getting him...but one thing about this mold...it sure looks sweet in White. The red eyes look cool too.

You know that this mold has two communicators, one on each arm...so one will have Prime, the other one is still in question (could be any of the six you mentioned)

Look there are some really good reasons to think this fig is lame, but layin down that hate on Prime being under the communicator? That's really reaching. :roll

So is he an eHobby only toy or do they just have him listed for reference sake?

We can only hope!!!! I am impressed with the trailer - much more thought has gone into it than I expected to. I'm still gonna purchase it but intend to swap the guns over with him and MP prime.

I`m a huge Dreamwave comics fan, *cough cough*, was a huge Dreamwave comics fan. I prefer this version of Magnus over the armored G1 style anyway. So for me this just saves me the trouble of repainting a 20th Ann. Prime.
