"OSI layers" = something that only an IT geek would get. It's incredibly boring stuff.

"Trans...mutate?"

P.S. "miraculously revived" = BS I hate stuff like that. Characters should frickin' stay dead when they die. It's only b/c writers are too lazy and scared to come up with new characters that they recycle old ones.

Oh sorry... got on the soap box for a moment there... :redface

I know what the OSI layers are. I AM an IT geek. That's why I refer to the whole thing as "cake"...you know...the seven layers....I was making a joke, and asking a question. A rhetorical one, really....

I know how incredibly boring it is.....boring isn't even the word....

Transmutate was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO cute...........awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww...........

Quick recap for those who don't know:

(This is coming from memory, so someone please let me know if I screw up)

In the Beast War series, set 400 years after the end of the Great War, G1 Ravage (Jaguar in Japan) becomes BW Ravage or Agent Ravage.

After the end of the Great War, several Decepticons were given amnesty (forgiven for war crimes) and now presumably live with the Autobots, Preds, and Maximals on Cybertron.

Some Decepticons, like G1 Ravage (Jaguar) converted to the smaller more efficient bodies. He apparently kept his bot form of a Jaguar.

Predacon Megatron, (no relation to the original Megs, he just took his name) steals 2 Golden Disks and heads to Earth. He ends up on Pre-Historic Earth. The Sol System (our Solar System) was set as off limits for unknown reasons to Preds and Maximals alike.

Since Megatron is a fugitive, the Tripedicus Council sends Agent Ravage (as he is now known) after him. When he gets to Pre-historic Earth, Agent Ravage begins to work with the Maximals in order to capture Megatron. Once Megatron is captured, Predacon Megs reveals a secret. On those Golden Disks (Apparently the same disks from the Voyager Spacecraft. Google that and you'll see the significance )is a hidden message from G1 Megs. If he had failed, whoever was to find the message is to continue his mission of dominiation of Cybertron and the universe. Upon seeing the message, Agent Ravage agrees to work with Predacon Megatron in order to defeat the Maximals and change history.

In the Agent Ravage's final battle, he actually transforms into his cassete mode, and inserts himself into the "tape deck" of his ship. (Displayed on serveral monitors on his ship is the Decepticon symbol, with each point lit up) All while yelling "Decepticons Forever!!!". Included is the classic transformation sound. His ship is destroyed and the last we see of him is head being kicked off the cliff into the body of water his destroyed ship rests. Along with his ship, the Maximal ship from the series was also destroyed and fell into a body of water. This comes into play in the BT story as you will soon see.

Fast forward to Binaltech. (Remember all the above happened on Prehistoric Earth. Approx 4 million years before 1984 when the TF's we know awaken on the Ark.) So the Triple III finds several artifacts. Some of them being advanced technology in from the future. These artifacts are presumably the Beast Wars remenants. (remeber the destroyed ships?) The "Black Box" of Agent Ravage's (G1 converted Ravage) is discovered and the Triple III is shovked to see it contains his memories. They dub the conciousness X-9, and strike a deal to build him a new body. Since what they only have at this point is memories and no soul, or spark, they decide to use present day G1 Ravage's spark in order to provide it. This is why they keep G1 Ravage in cassete mode, in the Vette's tape deck. Remember, some bots were nearly killed by the cosmic rust and are in stasis lock. Since this is the case, G1 Ravage has no idea what is going on. Binaltech Ravage (Agent Ravage's memories) realizes his mission had failed and now sees this as an opportunity to complete his mission (notice they make mention of the Decepticons Forever quote).

At some point, BT Ravage will be destroyed, G1 Ravage will awaken with no memory of any of this, and the timeline will continue...

I do suggest you go out and by the BW DVD's. Seeing the events that take place is way better then reading them. I will bet that once you see the scene of Agent Ravage transform into his cassette mode and hear that old school transforming sound, you will get goosebumps....

In Primeval dawn ithe Vok seperate Tigerhawks spark, and use Ravage's body for TM tigertron, and a blank for TM airazor, to help Primal Prime fight Zombie-Turantulas' forces wich include a miraculasly revieved TM2 Ravage(a.k.a. Walmart Tripreadacus agent) Nextime we see the undead arachned(Universe) hes in Unicrons belly, ravage-less, I guess we will never know ravage's fate

I think someoe stated that since they found the flight recorder from the ship, and not Ravage's body, head, or spark, leaves them available for the events in Prime Evil Dawn and Universe to happen.

They however needed a spark to keep the robot from being completely mindless...

Very much like what Megratron did with his vehicons in BeastMachines, when he needed generals (not mindless drones) to overcome the "free thinking" Maximals.

Jetstorm, Thrust and Tankor had no previous knowledge of who they were.. Silverbolt, Waspinator and Rhinox (respectively) and were all seperate entities from their orginal sparks. Intresting... :eek

and when ravage awakens...  this happends!!!

oh no teh beast mode! args!

Mine cant do that! His head refuses to look up. did you have to force it or un screw it?

Congratulations!! Your Binaltech/Alternator Battle Ravage is equiped with a second head socket!! Just firmly push the head forward until it clicks. Viola!! more head articulation!! side to side, up and down!! Very useful especially in beast-mode.

Thanks for that tip I just tried it, the head still stays tight and it gives the head more motion.

Also the idea of BT Ravage essentially being X-9 is awesome!

They were also changed by Megatron....

interesting though to think - if a spark leaves one body and inhabits another, what would come along with it? Memories? Personality? Anything? I know that they did this a lot in BM, but in BW a spark couldn't survive outside of a body.

They all had indistuctable sparks like Starscream?????

Man, I'm soooo not into Alt Ravage, (mostly because I don't want two of the same mold, and the mold could have had a couple more simple alterations to really "sell" it), but after hearing a decent backstory and a good discussion inducing linkage to other "Ravage" characters, I'd definitely lean toward picking it up a little more.

What's the reason Hasbro doesn't take the BT story, translate it, and put it in their Alt section on the website?
