Never could watch all the episodes of Head masters, the english dubbing made me want to :tfpuke , waiting for the subtitled version..

But Masterforce is transformers, just a bit of a retelling the idiotce of the whole pretender crap, and adding children as headmasters..(bull sh*T). I liked masterforce and Ginrai in this show... He was just as a valiant warrior as the autobot that he resymboled... and became a good leader.. but he  just wasn't OP or Convoy!

I'm currently getting Victory on downloads- subtitled that is.

i have the metrodome set. the only officail westernised version so it comes with both dubs. it makes better sense to me the japanese headmaster concept. like having another voice in your head would improve your movement :roll

zarak was an evil bastard though, he made himself a valuable effort with his translector so galvatron wouldn't destroy him.

sixshot was cool

Have not seen Masterforce or Victory but I thought Headmasters was ok (6 out of 10) so I will probably get Victory just to try it. And then Masterforce just to complete it.

I think Headmasters is going the way of most Japanese anime shows and the later series will only increase this.

And I feel that seeing how Transformers was different from all those shows, that development like this makes it less Transformers as it less and less like the original show.

That is not to say that these shows are bad, I mean the Japanese will love them but for someone who grew up with the US episodes these may be hard to stomach.

I actually liked the concept of Transformers and Nebulons. Aliens forming the heads of Transformers and actually working together.

The Japanese concept is one I like less. The US Headmasters concept actually felt as it could have advantages but a smaller robot just forming the head seem a bit silly. What advantage does this give.

Ok, energy can be spared by having a smaller form but this is rarely used in Headmasters.

And I doubt Zarak was that useful to Galvatron. I would have destroyed him and just have gotten a new head for his transtector or another way to control him.

In the G1 Marvel comic Galen was also killed but Spike took his place so I think the same would apply to Zarak's transtector.

He was a bastard though, not even challenging Galvatron for leadership of the Decepticons. A Decepticon leader should have courage and strength and not be a filthy coward who stabs his leader in the back. That is why Starscream could never lead the Decepticons.

Does anyone know where I can find a link to buy or read the Japanese manga stories that have super megatron and star convoy and all that stuff?

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

you can go to Tfarchive site to check Japanese series.

but star convoy may very hard to find, only release maga in Japan.  i remember i've seen some of the pics of that maga.

I must say I do hate one thing of G1 -> Headmasters -> Masterforce -> Victory is that the tech level of the humankind seems to jump back and forth like mad.
