And the head?  It's basically a remolded Smokes head with a face from Sideswipe.  I ended up notching the back of the head up quite a bit in order for it to fit in alt mode so the back side looks F'ed up.  Plus, I'm finding it a little difficult to make wrinkles in a piece of plastic that's a 1/2 inch square.  Hopefully the face comes out with a nice scowl similar to the digibash.  I know it doesn't look that good right now but after some sanding, a little more filing on the crown and paint it'll look a lot better.  :thumb  (I hope!).

Looks awesome Lobo! The wrinkles are very cool....Im a bit skeptical about an open mouth, but so far it looks great.

just wondering how did you change the wheels?

just wondering how did you change the wheels?

I used DLP's patented "Hot Pin Technique" from the IGTKB.  Basically, place a soldering iron on the head of the wheel pin and heat it up.  After about 30-40 seconds pull the wheel off.  The pin usually stays behind and the wheel is unaffected.  Then use pliers to pull the pin out (You may have to heat it up again).  I then drilled out the wheels from the model kit.  And then used the same pin to put the new wheels back on the Alt.

I think the face is coming along pretty well.

It's been a while since I checked back here.  :redface  Great to see you're making some well paced progress on Alt Cup Lobo. Looks awsome so far, and the head sculpt is coming along nicely. Best of luck with any future progress.  :thumb

Thanks guys!

Here's the painted head.  Looks like I still have some touch up work to do on it.  But I don't think it turned out to bad for my first remold.

And a preview pic.  Got to wait until the paint to cure before I finally put everything together.  Stare at this pic for a week and you know how I feel.  :tfmad

Colors used were Pacific Blue (Teal) and Grabber Blue.  Both Testors.  Finished everything with 2 coats of semi-gloss clear coat.

BTW- WraithVerge's suggestion of using Scotch Tape over masking tape is Awesome!!!  Very clean lines.  :thumb

Hope you enjoy.
