Gut instincts tell it it's over. Just after Dirge and Skids it just sorta hit me that it's close to the end. Espically when Richocet came out.. but maybe not. I hope they continue it.. with someone else if anything.

But that's just wishful thinking.. I'm usually spot on when my gut tells me things.. =*(

wah... I wanted skids... but he is always @ 24.95... -_-

but it looks like it is the end. no triplechangers for the US...

*sigh* Gonna have to rely on Takara to give us our reissue fix. I'm gonna get Perceptor and God Ginrai. God Ginrai, I collect Optimus/Convoy figs. Perceptor because I'm a science and a TF nut rolled into one. :tflaugh

A couple of things I find odd:

I was holding out hope on the line. Even though TRU is slashing prices and everyone thinks this indicates the line is done, that is the SAME thing that would be done if Hasbro & TRU were parting ways and it was being given to another retailer. However, the fact that there was ZERO news at Toy Fair about it (given all the other TF news that Hasbro dropped) leads me to believe for the first time that it is in actual trouble. Seems odd to me, though, that they would kill the line without finishing the Seekers, getting Sideswipe in the U.S. or releasing Astrotrain.

The problem is, other than TRU, there really isn't another retailer who would be interested in such a niche product.

Is anybody else surprised that the brick & mortar toy stores are being hit so hard by internet shopping? As it becomes more accepted, you expect to have an impact on all retailers but it seems to me that toy stores have been hit the hardest (expect maybe for travel agencies). Kay-Bee has comepletely gone out of business and TRU (who used to be king) is in serious financial troubles.

Just seems strange to me that they would be effected anymore than any other industry...

Wal-mart and Target using toys as loss leaders is killing them more than internet shopping. Think about it, when was the last time you saw toys cheaper at an internet store than at the two big retailers, or even TRU for that matter. As an example, most of the internet stores not connected with a B&M usually sell Alternators for at least $25.

Eh, business is business. :tfsad I'm kinda bummed too.. I was really lookin forward to Ramjet and hopefully Thrust down the line. Would also liked to of seen Wheeljack and the rest of the 84-5 cars atleast..

I'll buy Wal-Mart to a certain extent because nobody can compete w/ their prices, but not Target...their toy section is a joke (at least in the 3 local Targets in the toledo area) and their prices are no cheaper than TRU...
