I wish they would redo the whole G1/G2 toyline.

Exactly its a chance for us fans to get toys we loved so much that we don't have anymore, may have broke, or mom sold at a garage sale. This is a chance for us to recapture some of out childhood, some of the fond memories of comming home from Elementary school and sitting down with our Optimus Prime figures and watching "Rubby Mines of Burma". When the time comes and your in your mid 20's and get re-issues of the toys you grew up today with I hope you remember the special feeling those figures and shows gave you right now. Then I hope some kid comes along and tells you that your Tf are stupid, and are crap. Then you will see...and it will be poetic justice.

If a kid did just all of a sudden pop up & say that, I would just laugh my ass off.

I agree with you Ironhide, but this discussion is fruitless. It's actually best said like this; "for those who believe, no explanation is necessary, for those who don't, no explanation will do." Nothing against you Lil Bro; you have every right to your opinion, but wait until 20 years later, then take a look at it. You'll see what we mean. In fact, instead of venting hostility at Ironhide and the rest of the crew, why not use it to motivate yourself to design some new versions of the classics. if you'd like some help, just pop over to "The Idiot's Guide to Kitbashing Transformers" post, over in the Toy Discussion forum. We'd love to see some new work!

As most of us are doing with you, because you just don't get it, and probably never will.

..k...they counldn't have been very fun to play with & don't say they were cuz you know they weren't.

look man it's like this. back in the day we had this thing called an imagination. i know that must be a foreign word to you so say it with me... i-ma-gi-na-tion. there it's easy. now this imagination is what got us past the design flaws of the time. of course back then they were state of the art, nothing compared to them. you wouldn't have your xbox today if it wasn't for the atari 2600. follow me?

the reissues are for people who want to get the old figures for themselves or to pass down to the next generation without paying through the nose to get them.

they were a total blast to play with!!! you just had to be there i guess. do you really think people would be paying hundreds of dollars for the originals if they weren't fun. without those old ugly figures there would probably be no transformers today.

you don't have to like them, just have a bit of respect for them if you are a transformers fan.

First of all x-box sux & if I want to portay something I see on a tf show. I need something to work with other than a "brick" for my imagination to kick in. Oh & I thought the reason people payed 'hundreds of dollars' for the old TFs was because they could be worth a lot of money in the near future.

:pfx x a billion. Thats the problem with kids these days they have no imagination they expect everything to be handed to them or for a toy or whatever to do everything for them. Some of the greatest stuff IMO came out in the 80s, The old transformers are way better than a lot of the stuff coming out now, NES (Nuff said) Movies back then were way better than they are now for the most part, I mean honestly I couldn't ask for a better time to grow up than the 80s except for maybe the 60s to see all the cool muscle cars and such of that generation.

How true JackKnife, how true.
