I wish they would redo the whole G1/G2 toyline.

Recommended Posts

All I'm saying is they need to redo them & put alittle more effort into them this time.

no, they dont. these are commemorative re-issues, not brand new toys. they are releasing these for people who appreciate thier childhood. when I was a kid, I had so much fun playing with those toys. who cares if they couldnt bend at the knees, or had 50 different gimmics. thats what imagination is for.

If you need 25 points of articulation and weapons that have to attach to the toy so you don't loose them, then play with energon or armada. pay up for the alternators. just don't come to a fan community based on the greatest toy line ever, and tell everyone how thier childhood sucked cuz the TFs back then didn't have a thousand blinking lights.

I never said their childhood sucked. I said the toyline of tf back then sucked.

Thats a matter of opinion. If you lived back then and your eyes and ways of thinking wern't blinded by the fact your used to all the elbow and knee joints and such, you'd think they were great. I just hope you grow up and are still a TF fan when your in your mid 20's and have some kid 13 years old say the toy line you liked as a kid sucked and that it was garbage cause it didn't have plutonium powered nano motors in em. Then maybe you will understand how we feel when you say that here.

I'm not gonna bother with this discussion anymore. I don't need to hear all about how my childhood sucked because I never had Transformers that could bend their knees. I don't remember hating them for their lack of articulation. I remember playing with them and enjoying it. If you need to have bendy elbows and knees to enjoy a figure then fine, go for it. Personally, I don't.

Well then these are the perfect toyz for you...

Just uhh...toss Arcee at Rhinox & I'm sure you'll have a ball.

If you think me telling you what they were like back in the 1980's is starting Sh** with you then you certaintly havent seen my sh**! And um dude get it through your head we do have a line thats like that its called Alternators (for the 3rd or 4th  time we've said it). Granted they were bricks in the 80's but when they are the ONLY transformers and the ORIGINALS that were made 20 some odd years ago you counted yourself darn lucky to have 'em when you were a kid. .....gah I give up on ya... :tfmad

One more thing if it wasn't for the F***ing past you would'nt have any transformers today, so before you say F*** the past make sure you know what your saying. I certainly hope you would'nt say F*** the past when learning about history. If you don't learn about the past your doomed to repeat it in the future.

Ironhide is right; we need to remember our roots. I know it's hard for the younger generation, but keep this in mind Lil Bro: one day, your grandkids are going to claim that transformers energon toys were poorly detailed and articulated.

where do these fools come from, is there a full moon out or something?

compared to all the hoo-haa that the TFs now have yes.

but the G1 line has a lot more character to the individual figure than most of the toys now do. back then, a repaint rarely went bad, and no one cared about gimmics. hell, ask most of the people on this site which is the coolest TF ever, and most of them will reply with a G1 figure. prolly fort max. I loved the old Tfs, and like them better than most of the toys out now.

the whole point is that if hasbro changed the toys they are re-releasing, they would have to deal with mobs of pissed of fans. they will never change the molds to add articulation. that's the point of a re-release. not to play with, but to display. I'm using the oppotunity to get the old toys I dont have anymore.
