Dudes this debate is soooo insane......argue over how uncool 20yr figures are, is just lame.

For people who grew up in the 80's they will always be the bomb. :redface

Yup.

And well for me, the fun is in transforming them, so they're still just as fun as the newer ones. Yes, the newer ones can also pose, but they lack in nostalgia (naturally, being only a year or less old).

I love all TFs, from G1 to Energon.

I even have....(gulp)....two Animorphs. (ducks)

The blue scorpion/alien centaur guy and the red alien centaur/demon spawn guy. they were $3 at toys r us or somewhere, and i needed my TF fix, so i nabbed em. Quite like the red guy in demon spawn mode, next to my BW Megadrac. :)

I mean honestly I couldn't ask for a better time to grow up than the 80s except for maybe the 60s to see all the cool muscle cars and such of that generation.

:thumb

don't forget the naked chicks :) hehehe j/k

Love the 80s!!

I was rather shocked that one of the TFs used a "bad word" when Prime died.

um...huh? :tftounge

Prime: "Till all...are...one..."

Kup: "Well F*** me sideways!"

yeah that part shocked me too :)

Well that's the way I am & if people can't handle it then they can go fu** themselves.

:tfevil Me grimlock not kisser! Me Grimlock King! :)

btw, i love that ep where he's got an apron and bow tie on hehe

First of all x-box sux & if I want to portay something I see on a tf show. I need something to work with other than a "brick" for my imagination to kick in. Oh & I thought the reason people payed 'hundreds of dollars' for the old TFs was because they could be worth a lot of money in the near future.

that statement only proves what we're all trying to tell you. over the years toys have evolved to such a point where real imagination is all but gone in todays kids.

it is sad you need more to spark your imagination. you'll never know what you are missing. the people who really knew how to use their imaginations in the 80's are now ruling the world!!! they are the people making who are now making yesterdays imaginations into tomorrows reality. todays high performance sports cars wouldn't have been possible without the old ford model-T which was nothing more than a brick on wheels, progress has to start somewhere!

instead of trashing the transformers for looking like bricks, try taking a look at other toys of the day, transformers buried them. i'm not trying to beat up on you, you are young i understand that. my nephew is the same age, but he too loves the g1 figures.

people don't pay hundreds of dollars for old transformers because they might be worth more money in the future, they do because they love them. and HELLO for those toys, this is the future that "could be worth a lot of money"

THEY ARE worth a lot of money but thats only a secondary factor to most. if people didn't still love them what value would they have? look at gobots, just as old, nobody could care less about them today. just because something is old and rare doesn't guarentee that people will want to spend a lot of money to get it.

just trust me when i say this, if you were around in the 80's you would have been begging your parents for transformers just as much as the rest of us did!

if you need more than a car that turns into a robot to jump your imagination, you need help. or you need to curl up in a ball, and let these people beat the crap out of you.

you have no imagination. and thats sad... :tfsad

Apology or no, this is quite possible the dumbest thread I have ever seen in my life. And now to let it die...
