Well when their the only Tf ever they were a blast to play with. Dicast Metal, real rubber tires, realistic vehicles, planes, guns, tanks, construction vehicles, dinobots, it was a lot of very cool toys. For us who lived in those times they were the best. Of course for you who have grown up with Beast Wars, RID, and such may think their crap. But I assure you, they were plenty of fun.

Not to mention if they wern't around in the 80's you wouldn't have the TF's you have today. So pay yer respects to your elderbots and be glad ya got yer fancy schmancy energon figures. :tftounge

Dudes this debate is soooo insane......argue over how uncool 20yr figures are, is just lame.

For people who grew up in the 80's they will always be the bomb. :redface

They were tons of fun. I can remember my Snarl and Sludge having great battles against Devestator.

Ironhide, why are you trying to start sh** with me?!? All I'm saying is they need to redo them & put alittle more effort into them this time. Why does that piss you off. This isn't 1984! Think of the future! Fu** the past!

Ironhide, why are you trying to start sh** with me?!?

What is he starting!?!?!?! :redface

I'm out of this one....this is so lame. :redface

If you think me telling you what they were like back in the 1980's is starting Sh** with you then you certaintly havent seen my sh**! And um dude get it through your head we do have a line thats like that its called Alternators (for the 3rd or 4th time we've said it). Granted they were bricks in the 80's but when they are the ONLY transformers and the ORIGINALS that were made 20 some odd years ago you counted yourself darn lucky to have 'em when you were a kid. .....gah I give up on ya... :tfmad

One more thing if it wasn't for the F***ing past you would'nt have any transformers today, so before you say F*** the past make sure you know what your saying. I certainly hope you would'nt say F*** the past when learning about history. If you don't learn about the past your doomed to repeat it in the future.

...right..uh...I want a alternated Hot Rod/Rodimus Prime figure & a alternated Arcee.......damn...they don't have the cool TFs... :tdown

I'm not gonna bother with this discussion anymore. I don't need to hear all about how my childhood sucked because I never had Transformers that could bend their knees. I don't remember hating them for their lack of articulation. I remember playing with them and enjoying it. If you need to have bendy elbows and knees to enjoy a figure then fine, go for it. Personally, I don't.

I hear what you're saying Lil Bro, but remember that Transformers were made back in the early 1980's, when toymaking technology wasn't as advanced. For their time (and even today) many of them were and still are masterpieces of engineering. It's the later ones, near the end of the original toy run, that were poor in quality. Give credit where credit is due: the early ones were decent replicas of vehicles. Takara thought of the vehicle mode first, THEN the robot. Later on, it was the other way around, and BOTH modes ended up suffering horribly. 20 years later, the Alternator/masterpece line would strive to perfect BOTH. ( in my opinion, they largely suceeded, even if the colors aren't the original!)
