Toys R US G1 prices

Recommended Posts

i can't see paying more than 15$ or so for a good many of em. maybe 20$ for the seekers. just seems like a waste.

I agree espcially since the package art is not the same and the weapons parts for some of the TF are modififed for safety concerns. Bah, screw their overpriced reissues. I personally have yet to get ONE. :tflaugh

I've been getting all the G1 reissues since my collection is almost entirely G1, and alot of my original G1 figures aren't in the best of shape after being played with for 20 years.... plus it is giving me a chance to pick up some of the figures I'd never had a chance to get originally. The only ones I haven't opened yet have been Jazz and Inferno, since my G2 versions are still in good playable shape :)

I put a thread up about UK reissues in the end cap saying that I may be able to trade G1 reissues for energon toys because I can get em cheap here. My father does some ebay selling so he knows about shipping and stuff (check his feedback, seller name pdillonp).

well i asked my manager last night, and i asked him whats the chance that they will go on sale, he said that threre is actually a chance, jjust because we have so many of them and they are becoming shelf warmers...but dont hold your breathe

was wondering, if anyone here is a TRU employee, can you tell me what the security is like at your store? My TRU has only one security camera, and it's in the video game section. the only stuff with security tags are electronics and yu gi oh cards. Today alone, I saw two different sets of kids pick up a bunch diecast cars, and after wandering around the store for a bit, left empty handed. I told a guy who worked there, and he said they have been having some shoplifting probs.

and one of the big things stolen were TF re-releases.

well we have i think about 12-16 cameras around the store, not including the 5 in the Rzone (electronics) we have had ppl try and steal reissues but we are good at stopping ppl, so it doesnt happen to much

if there IS a sale...Tracks is the first on my list

well, they get stolen alot, up here apperently. so much so, that they moved the TF section over by the RZone. I asked why they only moved that section, and they said it was to keep an eye on the re-issues with out having to put up more cameras. they just pointed one of the cameras at the toy shelf.

i refuse to get any of them until the prices drop below $20! its rediculous to pay the same prices as what it costs to get the japanease counterpart! BOOOOO HASBRO AND TRU!

actually, it's cheaper to get them at TRU, once you factor in S&H. then there is the wait for shipping, when you could just go to TRU and get it.

I would like to see a price drop because is hard for me to pay $35 for a toy, no matter how much I like it or how special it is. :tfsad

My "self-Chrismas-gift" (Prowl and Red alert) left me with a hole in the pocket the size of Unicron! BTW, while waiting, I saw a lady on the line at my left with Unicron on her shopping chart and I was reconsidering my choice because Unicron was the same price as 2 G1 reissues.

I just hope to see Unicron on a near future when I have money to buy because I will not pay the price Fort max is going for today! :tfmad
