I don't think I am gonna get them either. Just way too much money. My TRU has tons of them also. Maybe they will go on clearance. They definitley aren't moving. I may pay the 34.99 for Rodimus Prime though. I've always thought he was a cool figure. The TRU website says he will be released on March 15th.

Eh, nah. I think reissues in general are kinda overpriced (although I did break down and get Tak Reissue Starscream at a convention for $35, he looked sweet :thumb ) Ill prob get Rodimus tho....

I'm just getting them to fill the holes in my collection.

Hey Bizzmoff, I didn't get back into collecting until starscream was all gone. How much are they and how much would shipping be to Tennessee (37122)?

I was wondering, if anyone here is a TRU employee, can you tell me what the security is like at your store? My TRU has only one security camera, and it's in the video game section. the only stuff with security tags are electronics and yu gi oh cards. Today alone, I saw two different sets of kids pick up a bunch diecast cars, and after wandering around the store for a bit, left empty handed. I told a guy who worked there, and he said they have been having some shoplifting probs.

and one of the big things stolen were TF re-releases.

because they are considered "Adult collectables" i dont think it will be in the near future, especially cause they are all under diffrent sku #'s, so it would be a hassle

Exclusives cause higher prices because an exclusive is a complete monopoly on a given item. There's no competition, so stores can charge whatever they want to.

 

I think the prices come from them seeing what people are willing to pay for the Takara versions since in general they're so close.

I only buy the tru reissues that takara doesn't release-dirge, hoist, grapple, etc.

Yeah the prices are high, but TRU rarely marks down. I still buy them cause they're still cheaper than the originals and minty fresh. I could wait, but I'd rather enjoy the figures now, instead of when I'm old and grey. :)
