Hey, just wondering if and when the prices of the G1 Transformer reissues were gonna drop in price? Anybody have an idea? I mean, everytime I go to Toys R Us, there are a bunch in stock of a lot of popular transformers. When will they slash the prices?

because they are considered "Adult collectables" i dont think it will be in the near future, especially cause they are all under diffrent sku #'s, so it would be a hassle

Yup I can second that I asked the TRU reps and they said it probably won't happen since these are collectors items and they usually don't reduce the prices. You can always get them elsewhere online if they go on sale, good luck.

and to third that..its an exclusive to a store..so the store ultimately decides on the prices it sells for its exclusive goods...

 

 

all the 29.99 toys.... TRU bought them for 15.25 i belive...and the 34.99 22.95 or something like that....a little inside info on TRU pricing and mark up :)

i work on an off at toys r us and trypticons totally correct TRU marks up the g-1 fig prices

yeah the mark up is crazy,but tru will have to give sooner or later.

my tru has tons of the reissues from series 2-current.

My TRU is overflowing with the things. They have like 50 of the things every time I go. I'm considering getting a few, all of a sudden. Damn you, addiction!

Well they have to mark them up. It is kinda ridiculous. I really want them, but for the price of little old Hoist I could get one and a half alternators. I don't know if it's worth it, but I still want them. I gotta get Rodimus Prime though...waiting patiently for him.

My TRU should use the things for a display platform or something... I mean the only point they serve now is to slow the fall of the Energon products to the ground. They even have a few G1 Starscreams left...
