So there were a few very late RiD releases I think when Armada started, and the last few molds of Armada that never got recolored did get recolors in Energon and Universe.

 

I've heard Energon will pretty much officially end in Spring 05 with Cybertron launching in summer. Think there'll be any Energon carryovers to Cybertron (or worse, Universe?)

I don't mind carryovers, as long as they're cool. The molds that haven't been repainted aren't bad candidates: Arcee, Divebomb, Skyblast, Perceptor, Insecticon, Downshift, Demolishor, Snowcat, Towline, Sharkticon, Scorponok and Slugslinger. There are some mediocre molds, but they're a lot better than Energon's Treadbolt and Rapid Run.

 

Combiner giftsets can also be a possibility, but I hope not, considering most people would have just completed them by that time. Then again, they did it with Unicron.

Yup. I can think of a few that might wind up as carryovers:

 

Blue Divebomb

An inevitable Arcee repaint

An inevitable Skyblast repaint

And if Optimus Prime gets a repaint, either it's going to come very close, or it's going to be a carryover.

 

I mean, Super Starscream and Roadblock are cutting it very close to thier release dates. And I've only heard about two of the Bruticus Maximus limbs, as well as the main body. Also the remaining limbs for him and Constructicon Maximus will probably be released after S.S. and Roadblock. :tfmad

I think there were four repaints in the first wave of Energon: Rapid Run, Treadbolt, Ultra Magnus and Tidal Wave. Tidal Wave was a major character for half of Energon, so really there were only three completely random repaints. Considering that it appears they're kicking off GF/Cyb with more original molds than Energon had for its first wave, I think we'll see left-over Energon repaints in Universe and not Cybertron. (But I fully expect to be wrong.)

I don't think they'll have many if they do it.. I wouldn't of minded Ultra Magnus, but honestly.. with all the Overload repaints, it's getting a bit outta hand..

These weren't in the first wave of US releases, and Cyclonus and Demolisher were in the show in their repainted Armada forms. The Minicon double-packs came later as well, and packaging aside, I don't really consider them as part of the Energon line.

 

I think Downshift would look cool as a black Decepticon repaint.
