TFC Toys Project Uranus Reveal New Image of First Team Figure

This set can very easily get me to change my stance on buying 3rd party TFormers. I've been waiting since 1985/1986 for a quality set of Aerialbots*. The Hasbro ROTF set was so incredibly inferior and unrepresentative...mere words alone cannot effectively express how much I dislike that set.

(*my 2nd favorite Autobot combiner squad, right behind the Technobots. The team itself includes 3 of my top 10 favorite Autobots period, in Skydive, Slingshot and Air Raid. GOOD TIMES!)

My only complaint is I was hoping for NOT Computron first. But either way. This is going to be good. I'm just wondering are they going to keep NOT Superion and his individual robots in the same scale as NOT Devastator?

hopefully. i want all combiners the same height. across the board!

:thumb Totally agree.

I for one would not mind if Superion was just a tad shorter that Devastator, as Devastator is basically supposed to be a brutal powerhouse, I feel he should be the largest Gestalt next to Predaking. Something else I would not mind at all is if TFC were able to make both the Silverbolt, and also have these guys be backwards compatible with the Ultra class universe Silverbolt, by stowing secret upgrade parts in each box to allow proper linkage.

Doesnt matter. The price is going to be too high for me to justify. $100 a full set, I'm in. $300 - $500 for a toy? Not happening. Hopefully there will be an affordable KO set.

The pricing definitely means not everyone will be on board. But I'm sure TFC knew this. Being it's a limited production run on a small scale anyhow, I'm sure they don't want a mass buy-in. Realistically, I think the price is justified.

This is all my fan opinion below on how I view proper 1980's TF combiners size scale. for liscensed or 3rd party TF combiners toys.

To be quite honest. in season 1985/1986 season 2 & 3 when the scramble city combiners arrived in the cartoon series. Devestator was considered in the cartoon as old, obsolete, weaker combiner technology & weaker in strenght/power.

their was this one episode in season 2,when Bruticus first appeared. that he was the strongest deception gestalt combiner. menasor & devestator could not defeat him seperately.

In the episode where the protectobots first appeared, they blew bruticus to bits. so defensor seemed like the strongest combiner before season 2 ended.

In season 3,predaking was shown as the strongest.

Most of season 3 in 1986 really didn't have devestator fight any other combiners. Return of optimus prime parts 1 & 2 did a excellent job at pitting the scramble city combiners & predaking against each other.

honestly I think a newer updated homage constructicons/devestator toy should be a bit smaller than new mold homage scramble city combiners. as all 6 1985 G-1 constructicons were legends size or extremly tiny basic sized TF toys. at the very least the 1985 thru 1986 scramble city combiners had one huge deluxe/mega core leader & 4 basic sized limbs.

Predaking in 1986 had 5 big mega/voyager sized TF toys. so any new mold homage predaking toy should be half or 75% bigger than new mold homage scaramble city or devestator toys.

If I had my way, which I rarely do. This would be my TF G-1 1980's combiners toys newer homage molds toy formula: (1) 6 Constructicons that are all basic sized that form devestator. (2)All the scramble city combiners from 1985 thu 1988 including the seascons. would have one Deluxe core leader & the 4 limbs bots would be basic sized. similar in scale to the energon three 5-in-1 combiners which produced a leader sized gestalt combiner. (3)The 1986 Predacons would be as follows: Razorclaw would be Voyager sized. the other 4 predacons that form limbs would be deluxe sized. (4)1989 TF victory Road ceasar,3 deluxe sized toys that form a gestalt. (5)TF Victory 1989 Liokaiser,6 deluxe sized robots that form a gestalt, with their breastforce partners being mini-con sized. (6)Headmasters Raiden,5 or 6 deluxe sized trains that form a gestalt. (7)TF Victory 1989 landcross,6 figures that are either legends or basic sized that form a gestalt

SP, whats the point of making new figures if they'll look EXACTLY THE SAME as the old ones?! there's NOOOOO FUN in that!! you might as well just buy all the G1 stuff and give up.

Well shit that means I have to get Hercules now so that Superion wont be bigger then Devastator. By which I mean I was originally planning on getting Giant.

Does anyone have both Giant and Hercules and care to upload a shot for scale?
