I hate my life right now. I want both.

Me, too. They're pretty spectacular looking.

Hopefully, the Not Aerialbots will toss scale out the window just like the G1 set did and just concentrate on putting forth the best possible homage that they can produce. Realistically, scale will always be an issue with almost any of the combiners if one is dead-set on putting them in a realistic setting:

1) The Aerialbots: considering what Silverbolt turns into, the combination process should not be able to work at all;

2) The Combaticons: Blast-Off is a fucking space shuttle. On his own, he'd dwarf any of the existing combiner gestalt modes into insignificance and Swindle is just a jeep.

3) The Protectobots: Even if you could broadly fit these guys together into some vague semblance of scale, Groove throws it off;

4) The Stunticons: Motormaster throws off the whole thing unless one wants Motormaster to be composed solely of the cab and not the cab and trailer;

5) The Predacons: Considering that Predakings' entire upper torso and his upper extremities are composed of a tiger, a lion and an eagle while his legs are considerably larger creatures (an African Cape Buffalo and a rhinoceros of indeterminate species), this set-up should not be able to work at all;

Thank god G1 ignored scale, we'd have none of those toys otherwise!

Is anybody else craving a 3rd party update for the Terrorcons? I keep on forgetting all about them when I think about combiner squads, and yet this group was one of my favorites--especially Hun-Grr's G1 toy. Now that was an event.

I would personally like Superion to be in between Giant and Hercules in height, Predaking and Piranacon/God Neptune/King Poseidon to be a little taller, and the rest of the Scramble city style combiners to be the same height as Hercules. Monstructor/Dinoking, Liokaiser, and Raiden I feel should be about the same height as Superion. Did I forget anybody? Not counting the Micromaster six-teams.

When I was concerned by scale, I just meant that if I bought Not Superion, I wouldn't want him to be bigger then my Devastator. And if he's to scale with Hercules and I buy Giant, he certainly will.

And yes, I was actually hoping Abominus would get some love before the obvious Superion or Bruticus. I would also like Monstructor and Menasor before them.

SP, whats the point of making new figures if they'll look EXACTLY THE SAME as the old ones?! there's NOOOOO FUN in that!! you might as well just buy all the G1 stuff and give up.

What's the sense in making obvious homage G-1 newer toys,if the scale is wrong,over-size. this to me seems like a pure waste.

I only agree because I love my FP upgraded Superion Maximus, no idea who he can be repurposed as...

I think I've decided that I want Hercules to represent Devastator on my shelf and get Giant to represent the individual Constructicons.

Or I'll just save the better part of a grand and get neither.

The idea is for them to fit in with the classics line, and be more accurate to animation scale, the only thing they can do for that is to make the individual bots the size they appeared next to other characters in the series, since if they were only going for gestalt size as they appeared next to other characters then each individual bot would be leader size or larger by comparison. I have my legends Starscream on my FP Bruticus's shoulder and by comparison that Starscream still looks waaay too big, lol
