This is my first post here , and i have been reading about this issues with windcharger's weapon. His orrigional weapon system in G1 was a "powerful magnetic field which can attract or repel large metal objects". Given this , does the weapong really need a barrel to fire? If it were a gause rifle or a rail gun, I can see the need for it, but the fact that a em feild is energy effect and not a metal slug, bolt of energy or laser beam then a barrel wouldn't be a requirment in my opinion.

Without the barrel, the remaining prongs on the engine kind of looks like the electrodes of an electric stun gun.

yes yes, let the delusions commence lol

actually it doesnt look as bad as i thought and wouldnt be bothered if i hadnt seen the long barrel, but i seriously recommend people picking up a long barrel wherever possible as the barrel to driveshaft is such a nice touch.

Without the barrel, he looks metrosexual. Ill be buying from Takara again!

*sigh* The only thing from Hasbro Ii want right now is Omega Supreme (coz Im back in the UK) and the Energon version of Galvatron. The rest can go hang. Takara truly is the king of toy companies *swoon*.

IMO the longer barrell looks better, but to each their own.

I don’t know if someone has pointed this out or not but Has anyone notated that Hasbro’s website says that Windchargers engine becomes a weapon in there Alternator products page but yet they said that the barrel was dropped so it WOULD NOT look like a weapon I’m confused here. :tfhuh

lol, seeing that gun without a barrel makes it look so ridiculous. I almost feel embarrassed for windcharger. He's been bobbittized. But I'm picking up the figure anyways. That figure is great overall as are all the alternators. I see that they didn't modify the prongs at all. The holes to attach the barrel are still there. It shouldn't be much of a problem to attach a repro long barrel to that thing.

The original barrel was a tad on the long side in the first place, if they hadn't made it so big, Honda may not have made such a fuss..........
