I got an email from hasbro today and this is what it says:

Hi Andrew,

Thank you for contacting Hasbro, Inc. We are pleased to be able to respond.

The drive shaft/long barrel was removed so the accessory would not look like a weapon.

We want to assure you that we are dedicated to maintaining quality products and service. We hope you and your family will continue to enjoy our products for many years to come.

Again, thank you for contacting us.

So it would not looks like a weapon? WTF IT IS A WEAPON!!!

A decision made by Honda no doubt, but if that's the sacrafice it takes to get a license, so be it. I'm not going to lose sleep knowing Windcharger has a sawed off gun...er hand held whachumacallit.

:pfx

Windcharger still looks like a great mold regardless of his sawed off thingy there.

Geez, what is with companies and the "no violence" crap?! Don't they realize cars are the most destructive weapons most people will ever get their hands on?

It's ridiculous, I tells ya! That, and I'm really bummed about VW preventing us from having a BumbleBee.

It's time to write my congressman! WAR ON GERMANY!

You guys realize what this means? Hasbro has no problems with weapons. They load down everything with guns and rocket launchers and stuff now. The Energon line centers around making weapons...

So Hasbro has no problems with weapons...

But Honda probably did.

Overdrive may suffer the same fate

:pfx notice the HLJ listing has a shot of the concept art without it

Hasbro: Hey vw we are intrested in using the beetle for our remake of famous transformers based on g1

VW: we don't sponser war machines, due to our extensive background

H: right, you've told us that before, but let us show you the non vilent concept we've worked up for your vehicle

VW: still not interested

H: did i mention we made a non violent vehicle for honda which i've got in my hand

VW:interesting.....how much money do we get for this?
