You guys don't get it. DRAG STRIP IN NOT A GIRL. THERE IS NOW SEX CHANGE JUST BECAUSE OF WHAT THE ORIGINAL MOLD WAS USED FROM!

I can live with Dragstrip being a girl. My issue on first seeing the pics was them trying to pawn off such a feminine design as a guybot. The fact that she is actually a "she" makes the set more attractive to me. I mean, c'mon, the world needs more femmebots.

Hope Wildrider won't be Lockdown since the colors are just too similar (I'm still hoping they'll use Sentinel).

Why would they use Sentinel Prime for Wildrider? That would make no sense. He's a 4X4 and Wildrider's a Ferrari. It's got to be Lockdown or Blur.

 

Neither Lockdown or Blurr is a ferrari or looks even remotely like it :P

 

However, if you're strictly speaking from altmode and making it as G1 accurate as possible, then yes it has to a be a sportscar and the only one remaining (unless they use a mold twice), is either Lockdown or Blurr. But-uh, only Dead End is then correct since the G1 version was a Porsche like Jazz and he's now made from the Jazz mold. Dragstrip was a racecar and Arcee isn't. Breakdown was a lambo and Rodimus isn't (and G1 Rodimus was based on a different car) and G1 Motormaster was a cargo truck and none of the animated figures transforms into a cargo truck. (And changing Wreck Gar enough that isn't longer a garbage truck takes some doing -- trust me, cos I'm doing it...)

 

 

The reason that I think Sentinel would make a good Wildrider is for a couple of reason (and not the least that I had planned to make the Stunticons myself and would've used Sentinel for Wildrider :) ).

 

In the PCC line Crankcase (the PCC Motormaster/Menasor) comes with a bunch of drones and one of those, a 4x4, is based on his colors a Wildrider hommage: black/gray with red windows.

 

As you know, G1 Wildrider was a danger on the roads even coming with a motto that read: get out of my way or get out of luck (memory). Although that would work with Lockdown (but I think the mold is too big to work with the others and they are already close in colors so it's just boring), but not with Blurr. Now imagine that same idea, a car that is threat on the road pushing all other traffic off the road and making them crash, with Sentinel. It works marvellously. And by making the car black (or dark gray) and the snowplough silverish, you get the same colors (and layout) in altmode and the same colors (and layout) in robotmode.

 

But that just IMO. (And I doubt botcon will be using the Sentinel mold :( .)

I was never entirely clear on the whole process and at what point in the transition gender is legally reassigned so for my own peace of mind Animated Dragstrip always has been and always will be a femmebot which is good because the world needs more of them, thank you very much.
