Hey Blitz what do you think? Ask straight forward questions that there is no way Hasbro can dance around?

Sorry, no answer.

Sorry, no answer.

Uhhhh...yes? no? I do not understand your answer as it also gives me no hope :tflaugh :tflaugh :tflaugh

Sorry, no answer.

You should work for Hasbro then LOL

Understand that I can't comment on a question like that because I am staff here. To position myself in that question would undermine efforts. Nothing personal, mind you.

Good stance, Blitz. We totally appreciate the awkward position this puts you in.

Something a lot of us that read and post here need to remember is that Hasbro is a business that has to cater to fans and kids alike. The kids, from a business standpoint, are more important than we are. Expecting toys in 2010 with 1984 alt modes is just not realistic. Little Billy 5 year-old doesn't care what these characters' original alt modes were, they just want to see a cool-looking toy. It's only the fanboys that care about alt modes changing.

The issue I have is that Hasbro states they view these characters as the most technologically advanced robots and would constantly update their alt modes to stay in disguise. Okay, I buy that. Why the need to constantly reboot the continuity then? Beast Wars proved it's possible to not pigeon-hole the brand while not relying on a reboot. As bad as it was, the Armada/Energon/Cybertron continuity was a nice a run too. Then along comes Animated, whose run was cut far shorter than it could/should have been. Now we have Prime and War For Cybertron. Did we need a new continuity and a reboot of previously established canon? I don't think anything would've been held back from the franchise by basing the game around the War Within continuity.

Bottom line: Hasbro is a business, and my guess is that every decision they make is based on what will make the most money. Simple as that.

Prediction: Blackout and Wingblade Prime are looking like great Botcon or TCC exclusives.

i looked into my crystal ball , and i saw a fat woman wearing a pearl necklace in hasbro's boardroom. she had black hair.

Ummm... getting back to topic here... :wtf
