WFC Megs was decent but I'm not ready to discount a legend like Welker yet.

Yeah, Cullen's was nice and deep. Sounded like it came out of a big scary alien robot(Except for "My bad" which I will ignore). Welker is a master of voices so maybe he can do a different take on his original?

What does everyone think of the guy who did the WFC voice? I kinda liked it. It was a reasonable amalgam.

Peter already did a different take on Prime. The voice he did for Prime in the movies is much deeper then Prime in the G1. Which I thought was awesome as it helped make Optimus more realistic. I'm just wondering if he is going to keep the deeper voice for Transformers Prime. as for Welker doing Megatron again? About damn time nobody has been able to do a decent Megatron since Frank voiced him.

Corey Burton did an awesome job IMO, and David Kaye always stands out. Different Meg's, but still, awesome voice. That guy in RiD was pretty bad though.

Oooh I was wrong. Just checked out the hub site. Soundwave is not that pimp car but looks like a UAV. Theres a pic of what I think is the car on the character page. Eradicon? I guess thats the drones but I'd rather it be a character. Attached picture.

Barricade?

Anyway...I'm suddenly not so discouraged that I'm not subscribed to Discovery Kids...

Other than Megatron I do not like the looks of the decepticons either. I like soundwaves alt mode though. It is pimp.

I'm probably the only one to say this, but I am on the fence about Frank Welker doing Megs again. Don't get me wrong, I was excited to see his name on there but I don't know if this is the same Megatron as the old one from G1. I honestly preferred Corey Burtons Megatron as the best so far. I'd even take Leonard Nimoy. I think Megatron deserves a deeper voice in the modern concept of the character. I don't think Welker is going to do that. Im sure he is going to do his iconic Megatron voice and I don't know if that fits this Megatron. Thoughts?

i believe i saw a interview where welker said he was going to do a deeper version of the g1 voice if i find the link to it i'll post it

I Feel the exact same way!!! now only if they'ed let him do soundwaves voice too....but not his gay ass docter claw movie voice..the G1 voice

Long winded post is long winded!

I think what annoys me most with the new attempts at the series are, and hear me out as goofy as this sounds, they are way too kid friendly*, even thought the series really is aimed at the kids. I'm completely beat down by films and other media that gravitates towards children stars/characters that are the main focus. Think "Home Alone" or any other genre film where the little kids are ALWAYS smarter than/can out do and out think any adult, unless that adult is unfailingly on their side.(Yes, I'm somewhat grumpy on that front, it's damned annoying and why I don't bother with those particular media choices)

That being said, I sure did keep my interest in TF's despite the age group it is aimed for. Even now I have a hard time watching the G1 & G2 series without having some MST3K going through my head. Beasts wars did reel me back in but everything after that just made my head hurt(Hearing Soundwave talk like a skater kid just about made me drop kick my TV out of a second story window!).

I watched the entire run of TFA and the initial dealings with Suri was painful at best until she somewhat grew up character wise. Near the middle of the second season it was getting good and by the end of the last season, it was gaining some good momentum, and what do you know, AXED.

I doubt I'll keep up with Prime or the toys from that series unless they just pop out at me, Bulkhead being one, cause I do like the look(but hey, that's me). The Decepticons, damn, really? What is with the spindly, demon-esqe pointy bug architecture of their designs? Please, PLEASE, PUH-LEASE Hasbro, quit taking design ques from Bay, he's had his turn at the table, send him on his way and give us some good looking designs, and some damn good looking Decepticons! I know I'm asking for a bit much, but considering the series, it would be nice to have villains that actually get to be villains, and not on a semi-regular basis be outsmarted by some over indulged kiddites. And yes, I understand the premise of the show so no need to flame on that front but I do look forward to you letters, Ala Craig Ferguson!

*I really would like to see a series where it's not always sunshine, flowers and good guys prevailing. Some good doom and gloom make for great story telling, but alas, in today's world of "We can't do anything really decent cause we have to make money on this venture!"(which I'm all for) or "If little Jimmy can't follow the story without us holding his hand or if he gets scared, we might actually have to talk to a parent and do some 'splainin". I miss the good old days of hey, they're shooting at each other! Wheres my popcorn and soda?!

Geeze, I'm getting all theoretical about a 'toon aimed at 7-10year olds. Check Please!

It's ok, I've seen much worse.

I can't help to be reminded of the fandom around the time of BM right now.
