I honestly hope they do more than just retool the leader megatron mold. since his design isn't going to change, I want a mold of him on par with the leader prime (hopefully something that has at least both elbows this time).

 

Starscream will be repainted for sure, optimus will probably just get a slight repaint like the thousands of voyager primes out there (I'm hoping for an ultra magnus repaint).

 

I really don't know what hasbro's going to do about the jetfire mold. I see no way they can offer a repaint of him, other than just plopping it in the universe series a few years from now :shrug

It's possible they'll abandon the Jetfire mold, much in the same way as they did with the Brawl mold. We didn't see him released in the ROTF Leaders at all, right?

but brawl had the deep desert repaint in the all spark line. jetfire hasn't had a repaint yet and I don;t see how hasbro could get away with one

Shockwave I'm unsure of, if the ROTF toyline has taught us anything it's that the main villian isn't guaranteed a leader class toy, poor poor Fallen T.T

 

As far as leader class toys go, it's obvious we'll be getting a Prime and a Megatron, hopefully retooled where Prime has articulated fingers/thumbs and Megatron...well where Megatron isn't a plastic lump of shit. Naturally there will be a reuse of the Starscream mold, maybe as Thundercracker or Skywarp if they're also in the movie.

 

Hopefully we'll finally get that Leader Blackout we've been wanting, if they can make Starscream into a leader figure they should be able to convert Blackout into a kickass toy as well. Or..whatever the hell the new "Blackout" will be called in the next movie >_>

 

So for me my list will look like this:

 

-Optimus Prime

-Megatron

-Starscream

-Blackout

-Random Autobot that possibly combines with Prime

-Shockwave possibly

All new molds for TF3. Hasbro would never use old stuff as their flagship figures for a brand new line.

 

-Optimus Prime

-Megatron

-Shockwave

 

If we get repaints, they will be released much later down the road, and they will more than likely be repaints of the TF3 molds, plus maybe Starscream since he's kinda of a in-between mold. MAYBE they will retool Battle Ops Bumblebee (he's not a Leader class figure though) to make him look like its TF3 counterpart with the carbon fiber bits and what not.

Im willing to bet that if there is even a second in TF3 where Prime has the Jetfire carcass armor on, we'll see Jetfire again.

 

I really hope deceptikhan is right and we at least get a voyager of Soundwave. I know we'll see his dlx again but I want more then one. And even more then that, I hope he has an expanded role in the movie where he doesnt die in 2 seconds by being shot down in space or something lame like that. (Ill accept his death if its done by Cosmos only :P)

The only reason we'd see the Corpse Suit Prime again in TF3 would probably be in a flashback of the events in Egypt, with the new trailer Prime is sporting in Tf3 more then likely Prime will have a super mode which involves him combining with his trailer.

 

As far as Soundwave toys go I'm not so sure about a Voyager Soundwave but a HA Soundwave would be something I'd like to see done, that or a Leader Soundwave, cause we've already gotten Megatron, Starscream has a leader class toy now, so Soundwave/Grindor should be next on that list.

i highly doubt we'll see any repainted molds for this next movie line.

 

they didn't do it for rotf. why would they do it for tf3?

Optimus is a given. I'm not sure if they'd give us a new one though, maybe just a slight retool and emphasize a trailer.

 

I hope Megatron isn't looking at a third strike. While I did enjoy the first 2 figures on their own, compaired to the rest, they just fall shoret.

 

Leader Starscream will get a redeco, but that may be just as Spring filler.

 

Jetfire and Brawl will look ateachother in the dark wondering if anyone is coming back for them :P

 

Outside of Optimus and Megatron though there will be a new leader or two. I do hope same as Brawl and Starscream they're 2 existing characters selected with a bit of random.
