Who knows, maybe Takara is going to sell the leader version under the MP line.

 

Either way, there is a much needed grain of salt needed on this, and even if it is reall, for $100 I'll be passing easy.

Master Piece to describe a Bayverse figure is an oxymoron.

I was ready to plunk down $40 dollars for this leader toy...Love the movie starscream design and nice to finally see it done right as a toy. I am sort of hesitant now cos I see this cool voyager prime be a smaller version of the leader toy but with guns and thought; "hmmmmmm mayber there's a battle blades Starscream on the way? finally a voyager starscream done right" Now I'm reading about another good reason to wait, a possible leader toy?

 

Yeah I really hope the wallycron floods the shelves with leader starscream which will drive the price down.

What a waste (if this were to be true) of plastic and man power in designing this. I'd rather see another Seeker repaint/tool honestly. Or even Season 1 Optimus Primal (which is pretty close to this thing).

It's just the Leader Movie Screamer figure packaged as an MP figure. What's the big deal?

First, I looked at TFSources site and do not see it listed on their site. It's not on the front page or available for preorder on their Masterpiece line.

 

 

Second, Is this being done by Hasbro or Takara??????

 

If hasbro - I don't give a chit and pass on it 'easily.' After releasing the last 2 pieces EXACTLY THE SAME as both Hasbro and Takara - i'm done being a completist on the Hasbro line.

 

If Takara - they will have just completely turned me off and cured me of my 'completist' aspects of the TAKARA brand as well - and I would be very tempted to call in and cancel my Black Prime and Clear Starscream orders. If this is what they are offering - they will have completely 'changed' what the name MASTERPIECE has been about - and I am no longer intersted. I hope they make a ton of money on this (doubtful) because they are now alienating their loyal buyers that do spend top dollar on other pieces.

 

 

I have to say, I HOPE this is a hoax and complete rubbish. The name Masterpiece is becoming very diluted.

 

 

Sidenote: Why in the world would they even call it an M01 - when 01 was prime?? The clear scream was G03 (or 03g). Why wouldn't this one be M03 or 03M??? That could simply be a typo. Or are they beginning an entire new 'sub line'??

 

Either way - it's garbage for a masterpiece piece. Not tempted in the least - compltely pissed.

^ Eh? Sgt_York, why do you care so much? It's just a figure, get it or don't. It has nothing to do with any of your other figures or how you enjoy them. Cool off.

 

I mean, if I were you, I'd cancel the Black Prime and Clear Starscream preorders anyway, unless you didn't have either of them. In which case, I'd go for a more sturdy version of the MP Seeker mold. Waste of money if you already have the figures, if you ask me.

 

But considering, if this really were the next MP offering and it were made exclusively for the MP line, I'd be fine with it. At least it's not another damn repaint of the Seeker mold, and that's a win in my book.

M01 means Movie 01 first figure of the movie line.

 

I am passing on this one also, as I am already planning on buying 3 Rodimus Primes'

As i've said... the MASTERPIECE line is becoming very diluted. It probably has a very high profit margin, and they are doing more and more to get some profits out of it. But they are killing the image, imho.

Well, now I just have to get the leader version. I mean... a MP for like $35-40 bucks? Hell, wonder if leader Prime will get the same treatment.
