can u ask someone at a store to take out a figure

Recommended Posts

Lets say at walmart u want to buy a certain figure. He's not on shelfs and you looked everywhere. Can you just ask someone that works at walmart to take out that figure. If do you do ask, will the person take out that figure? If not, why?

I have been trying to get legends devastator for a long time and the walmarts I go to don't put out any devastators on shelfs. I look at the price tags on shelfs and none of them says devastator or $30. Is there something wrong with the walmarts I go to or what. PLEASE help

You can always ask. The trick is if they'll actually heed your request. Depends on their attitude and their mood, I suppose :shrug

Despite being a Wal-Mart Exclusive, not all Wal-Marts will carry the exclusives. You could ask an employee, but chances are if there isn't a tag for it, they won't be carrying it.

Last time I asked a Walmart clerk for anything besides "can I pay here" it was for a shipping envelope.

With a very certained and possitive look she showed me a light bulb, then a chair, before saying thats all they had in almost english and walked away.

This is a true story :(

Last time I used site to store shipping the clerk became infuriated with me while trying to look up my last name. It isn't easy to spell (adams) so I gave her ID. She told me I was lying to her because the name on my ID started with an E.

The E mind you is my middle initial.

Even after correcting her she still brought out the wrong item. Granted I could have traded up and obsconded with the bag of granny panties, but I just wanted my HA Barricade more.

Yet another true story :(

In short when it comes to Walmart, if you can't fend for yourself, abandon all hope and leave. Asking a clerk for help is like calling ahead to TRU looking for an Animated Arcee :P

Couldn't they get fired for doing that? My friend, who used to stock at night, said that they were not allowed to set things aside for themselves or anyone else. Yet, whenever I call WalMart or Target and ask them if they can hold a game or a toy (Target only), they usually do, especially when I tell them that I'd be there in like 30 mins or so.... BUT.... those are 2 entirely different situations, since one is a stoker and the other isn't.

I see no harm in asking. Some workers at targets have even told me which store has something available and will even call that target for me and tell the workers there to hold an item. Walmart, on the other hand, has never been of any help.

Most times the Employees at walmart hate their Jobs and want to show how angry they are by being rude to customers. Myself I usually tell those folks hey if you hate your Job Quit. Don't give me grief because you hate the way your life is going and you are a spiteful turd. 90% of the time the snap to shape. The Managers start to appologize and actually help you out. The other 10% are usually to dense to realize they have been told anything. then there is that 1% of Employees that think they own the store and shouldn't be bothered. For these I tell them" You work at Walmart for minimum wage so why don't you just do your job and help a customer out" Mean I know but since I started commenting on their actions most walmart employees actually do what I ask.

If you don't get a responce from someone if they have a figure, then try to ask how often they recive Transformers, my Walmart is every Tusday and Friday.

Unless it is an item which has a set release date you can either phone the store and request they put the toy behind the Customer Service desk. OR you can just ask a member of staff to go and look in their store room for you, it is within your consumer rights as a customer to expect this level of service.

"I am ringing to inquire about the availability of a particular toy within your store"

"Would you do me a huge favor and please have a look in the back store rooms for a particular toy it is the XtotheYtotheZeeage"

yeah maybe in 1940 when you rang someone on the telly and a woman in a bonnet moved the plugs to make your connections for you.

Service with a smile don't happen on an hourly wage.
